I honestly don't see why they didn't use both. Luis' model would be more turret orientated while Dartstriker's would have those forward guns in-game and have little turrets, effectively being a SCRA siege cruiser. That way, they both fill different roles and the SCRA members could pick whichever one they want/need to use at the moment.
