Log: "*sigh* Today be da day. Ah've left down a message in da bar, 'bout da expedition, ah'm hopin' someone gunna respond. Ah tinkin Ashcroft, 'e be a good mon, interested in dis kinda stuff... Well, dis be chief Blint speakin', on approach vector ta' Gaia. Got mah land speeder, got mah supplies... dis gunna turn out a fair adventure, ah be hopin'."

Log: "Mah landin' spot ain't really what yah might call 'hospitable'... ah'm on da ground fah short o' two hours an' already ah be parched. Dis be some kinda desert, ah'm reckonin'. It do feel nice bein' on untainted soil, though... An ah can't see any research camps 'round 'ere, guessin' dem Cambridge boys ain't keen on heat, heh heh heh."

Log: "Ah've managed ta' get da speeder up ta' a lovely cliff, da view from 'ere be breathtakin'... Oddly enough, ah haven't seen many life. Eitha' dey really good at hidin', or dey all went ta' somewhere wit' water. Ah've taken a snapshot, uploadin now...done. Next up, findin' somethin' alive 'ere."

Log: "Finally. Damn, dese critters be hard ta find. Saw no birds, nuthin'... howeva...A certain somethin' tried ta' crawl up mah leg, lucky ah' saw it in time. Gunna take this li'l fella ta' da Breath, scan 'im, an' let 'im go."

Log: "Hmm, da weather be actin' up... somethin' ain't right. Smells like da storm. Ah'm headin' back, scratch searchin'."

Log: "Phew, jus' in time. Jus' gave me long enough ta' park da speeder up da cargo bay, an den WHOOSH! Damn sandstorm outta' nowhere. Gunna lay low till da dust settles, scannin' da lil' devil ah caught."

Log: "Finished da scans... an' holy hell! Dis ain't really what ah've expected. Dis lil' bugger don't even breathe. Amazin', a fully evolved anaerobic lifeform... dis be a first one fah' me. Also, note ta' self. DON'T. GET. BITTEN. It be poisonous, an' da poison be real bad. Ain't lethal tho, jus' gonna hurt like a sonova*beep* an' paralyze fah' two or three hours."

Log: "Da storm diminished, an' da second sun set some hour ago. Let da lil' critter go, an' noticed some otha' movement in da dark. Ain't goin' out dere tho, a flashlight jus' aint enough, heh heh heh. Gonna grab a lil' shut-eye an' continue reportin'."
