Unless something has changed that I'm not aware of, the Coalition will indeed be getting a new cruiser model.

Current ones look nice, but are not very functional combat wise.
New ones are very functional combat wise, but don't look as nice.

It's a trade-off that was decided would be worth it. Though, I should mention that the Snub line has been modified and touched up since it was shown to the community. To what extent though, I can't say with certainty.

I hope so. The old-new ones looked like someone taped plates to Daggers and called it a day.
