I am aware that some parts did work out well, some didn't.
I am interested in your feedback.
This was my first event in Disco and I guess I am rather good at taking criticism, but I also love positive feedback. Feel free to write both.
One rule only: No insults, no trial by forum, keep it civil. =)
Thank you for participating.
Well, now about the actual feedback, when we finished with our little dispute here. I can't say anything about the "transport's" part of the event, since we didn't even have a chance to take a look at freistadt, but about the PvP part.
Well, IMO, there can be 2 options for that kind events in that area -
1) either you use FR4, setting strict limits on number of participants from all sides, including ship types and setup restrictions. (Don't forget to take people skill level into account too... at least try to, since we all know it's the most important part in PvP combat) Maybe even making event somewhat "scripted". Basically, this way you take the bulk of responsibility on yourself. It's you who set up the limits and make the fun (or not fun) event.
2) Or you go the "Mining extravaganza" way, which is basically FFA do-whatever-youseefit. Which may result in the utter chaos. Or in tons of fun. Which will entirely depends on the participants.
What I'm saying, that taking middle approach, imho, like using partly option 1, and partly option 2, won't work. Or it will result in second version, and as a result frustration from those who expected it to go the 1-st path. (except for if you're setting unscripted 2-nd type event with the participant/ship/setup restrictions.)
Just my 2, kinda simplified, cents.
P.S. Forgot the most important part- Thank you very much for the event! :)
