Calling on Bretonia

Hoo boy...I sense a bad moon on the rise.

I'm going to try to pre-empt some of it, though. First off, it used to be quite common for privateers to be employed by monarchies; though they generally used their own ships, it's hardly unheard-of.

Also, the QCP aren't pirates. Not strictly speaking, anyway. They only strike Kusari targets; and Bretonia and Kusari _are_ at war. Their purpose is to hit 'em below the belt, so to speak, while the QCO knees 'em in the face.

I didn't say that SF has a bad name for its purpose, I only said that another might suit its new purpose better.

And as for the QC* merging and becoming a security force...don't think so. Really, I think we're fairly efficient as we are. SF handles internal security, QCO does the military-on-military stuff, and the QCP hits the enemy's commerce. Sure, it might be more conventional if we were all under one name, but we might actually be more flexible this way. We're split into three groups, each with their own distinct duties.

Note: I've found I can argue for and against almost everything, so I often find myself playing devil's advocate. In this case, though, my opinion is ambiguous: a change might be easier in some ways, but will never happen because it would require a lot of work for (in my mind) very little (if any) gain.
