Why is there cap 8 armor upgrade then? because such things promote silent running PT´s. Also, it is about skill.

I don't think I could remember how many Cap 7/8 Gunboats I killed with my AU8 armour Gunboat. Way too many:)

And no matter how much you claim the no end be all stuff, a bunch of highly skilled PVPers with smalls and one gunboat can vaporize entire fleet of LNS who are beginners. Bunch of flies, be them fighters, taking on a mighty battleship that is supposed to be weapon of mass destruction.

Know why? Fighters and Bombers are have a smaller learning curve than Capital Ships. There are fewer skilled capital ship pilots than there are Fighter/Bomber pilots.
And also, tell me why you think a group of skilled players in fighters/bombers should be beaten by a bunch of noobs in Capital Ships? That's not right, that's not balance. "Because it's roleplay wah wah wah" stop using that stupid excuse.

PVP = ROLEPLAY they are one in the same, one cannot exist without the other.

You do miss the point. Re-read it entirely please, what I ask about is to have ships fulfill their roles more accurately for sake of roleplay.

You're suggesting PVP balnace changes to a PVP enviroment for the "sake of roleplay" I don't know about you but I've been roleplaying fine for the past 3 or 4 years fine with the current system of balance. Why can't you?

Why all like you get here with just PVP in their mind? I do not get that part really. I presume it is better for someone to be able to out-do anybody with their happy tree friends bunch, well I would certainly not mind a game where tactics would matter, instead of better equipment and skill. teamwork promotes roleplay much more, then elitist approach.

Because the changes you suggest heavily affect PVP, they don't affect roleplay at all. You may have made this thread with Roleplay in mind, but the fact of the matter is, this affects PVP. PVP is just as important on this server as Roleplay, remember that.

So do not take on the ship? Ego hurt or what? Does that mean that simply because I cannot take on battleship with three fighters now, ill go whiny-mode? That it does and frankly, it is fine for me.

This sentance makes no sense to me what so ever.

But I do enjoy how you conveniently ignored every point I made as to why this idea is a bad decision. It's probably because you have no depth to your argument, and have nothing to counter my argument with. Right now it seems to consist of "becuz roleplay and pvp is bad"

So I'll say it again.

PVP is as much a part of Discovery as Roleplay.

Waaat? Ever try antisnubbing in a razor pulse Claymore? Try it versus a snub pilot with half a brain and let me know how it went.:D

Don't blame the Gunboat or Weapon loadout for your own inadequancies.
