I'm afraid you'll be losing much in the way of unity, my friend.
My pilots will not be defending Crete any more and I'm not inclined to force them. It's not their home, after all.
Also, the best way to show those ignorant fools how to behave is with a gun. It's the only language they seem to understand. Either that or their comm. devices simply don't work.
You must realise that in protecting these fools, you are giving them the benefits of being Brotherhood pilots with none of the responsibilities. They are taking advantage of the Brotherhood, hiding behind you, but not acting in a manner befitting Corsairs.
If I am treated like some filthy outsider, don't expect me to be nice to them.
Oh, an observation...
Backing down made you look weak in front of your pilots. They won't respect your orders in battle as much. It looks bad.
Now, I hope you're taking notes, since I'm not best pleased. My pilots have been shot at, but apparently they can get away with it because the cuplrits were Corsairs. Not on my watch.
P.S.
That message from Maniaco breaks my heart. His last words about me, his friend, and he acts like I am an enemy. I've always been loyal to the Corsair people... but when I act like a Corsair in response to insult and injury upon my adopted family, I 'drive a wedge' into the Corsair nation. Well, far be it from me to disrespect the dead, but Pedro was wrong.
I've suggested a way in which to pull the Corsairs together. The Brotherhood can act like a strong glue and hold the nation together, or it can let the Corsair nation descend into barbarism, which is what I'm seeing when I patrol Gamma in my Titan.
