If it's foolhardiness or the man with the Tazer that spurred him on he wouldn't remember, diving through the hatch at his top speed he almost made it through unscathed, however a shot from the rifle penetrated his left arm, shattering bone upon impact and causing a spray of blood to come forth, Ben functioning mostly on adrenaline now pushed past the agony he was feeling, each movement as he scrambled down the shaft feeling like a thousand hot needles being jabbed into his arm.

But he could not give up! Not without an escape first. As he reached the end he pushed the handle down with the hand holding the pistol, grunting in pain as arcs shot up his arm from the torture he was putting on his body, he stumbled into a small room, in the center was a ladder leading up or down, three more hatches that led to different sections lay before him, making a snap decision he stumbled towards the hatch on the right and flung it open, ducking into it while his left arm continued to bleed, shutting the hatch behind him he took a brief moment to tear a part of his cloak and tying it tightly around the wound, after a brief inspection he frowned heavily, sweat starting to mat his brow from the exertion he was putting upon himself. Unless he got treated soon he would lose his arm...Shaking his head out of such morbid thoughts he continued to scramble down the shaft and hopefully towards the Habitat wing.
