The lady sat at her table, surveying the man before her while letting him study it a little longer before telling him the answer. She needed no technology nor special devices to scan a human being, body language and expression was enough. She saw the knife in his hands, and multiple weapons. But she was safe.
She had seen much in her so-far short lifetime, having stayed at the bar and within the ship for many years. She had met so many 'dark' figures, and many who kept to the shadows. They were all the same in the end. She sighed to herself on the inside a little, before taking a sip of her tea. Stone-cold, or rather, ice-cold. She spat it into her saucer, before wiping her mouth daintily with a hankerchief. This place needs a new makeover, she thought. I've never been one for cold places.
People can live a hundred years without seeing a single star.. she said quietly. Does it matter how long you've lived, only where you've been.
She could taste the irony in her mouth. It wasn't as if she had explored much outside of her home planet, a few systems and the ship, beyond the jumphole.
She smiled to herself. Nobody could know that, she thought. I know of all corners of sirius, seen pictures, met people... I've done everything but actually been there.
She wondered again for a moment, about what was the purpose of her life.
But then she snapped back to the future. Could she play a little game with the newcomer?

The lady with the SCRA vodka had gone, possibly to the toilet or something. The boy looking no older than 10, had grown bored, his mother talking with a scary man.
He walked over and looked and stole a glance at the newcomer. He saw something flash between her teeth. He was scared, but the parasol lady assured him he was safe here. Brave and daring, he smiled and placed his hands behind his back, and looked up.
Aren't you cold miss? he asked politely.

Meanwhile, the other man walked over to the counter and asked for his briefcase back. He walked back to the man with the sword. It's a pity you couldn't do better. Perhaps you have changed, if not for the best way.
As for Kusarian clothes, I'll see what I can get you.
He left quickly, his clothes slightly damp. He came back minutes later with a blue male Yukata. Toilets are on the doors to the right of the bar. ]
He looked back and surveyed the room quickly. He had made a mess of himself - both in appearance and in dignity. There was nobody of importance now, and he had done his part.
He looked at the half-empty bottle also lying on the table. He had drunk a lot, possibly a cause of all the shenanigans however, nothing should ever be wasted. Draining the lot, he made his way to the door, tripping twice over what seemed to be nothing. He left in a hurry.
Minutes later, another loud bang was heard, as he fell to the ground. He knew that by the time he woke up, he would be in a different place at a very different time.
