To Xenos Recruitment Offices.
I hope this transmission reaches you, I had to spend a whole lot of credits to get the communication team on Ames to send it through. My name is Rob Alderson. You have already guessed the purpose of this message I suppose, to join the Xenos cause. To join your ranks and fight the corruption that is modern day Liberty. However I am assuming just simple zeal will not be enough, and so I will tell you my story, in the hopes that you will sympathize with my position.
I grew up as the son of a miner on Planet Denver. Everyday my father would go out and hunt in the Copperton and Silverton asteroid fields, trying to scratch a living from the debris left behind by the corporate giants. Then one day while Dad was in Copperton, a police patrol happened upon him. They arrested him on sight, on the pretext that he was in a 'restricted area', which was bollocks cause he and others had been mining there for decades! They dragged him off to Sugarland after a summary trial, where he wasn't even allowed a lawyer. I never saw him again. I guess they just wanted more slave labour to fuel their corrupt and overburdened economy. My mum was heartbroken, and it was only a month later that she passed away. i was only 13 at the time.
After this I became a scavenger, living off the crusts that the Denver high society left me. Everyday I would beg and steal just to eat, while Kusari natives flaunted their jewels and wealth, wealth gained at the expense of us! After 7 years of this existance, it grew too much. I saw one particular Kusari individual beat my friend to a pulp, for trying to beg. I saw red, so i killed him. Luckily he was the owner of a very fine Hawk, so i was able to steal that and make my escape from the planet. However I was now on the run. After evading the police, and killing a few who got too close, I eventually wound up here on Ames. It was here that i heard of you, the proud Xenos.
I wish to keep fighting the corrupt institutions that stole from me my family and my life. i was hoping that you would give me this chance. if you refuse to accept me, I will be forced to go on my own, but I don't much like my chances of achieving anything.
Thus I put in my application for consideration.
