Communication Channel as blue message showoff?

I am a Mercenary.

I happen to actually know how to use my guns right.

I fly around randomly and shoot whatever target I can find to make a buck.

I'm not that well-known so I can't do much but sign on random boards to keep business going.

I want to show people that I can actually kill stuff, so they see the money they'd pay won't be a waste.

I suddenly come up with an idea... What if I post a "wall of blue msg" to all neutral/friendly factions?

Ye, that way people will see I do what I do well, and might be encouraged to hire me.

So, I do it and I suddenly get a couple of fat contracts instead of petty boards!

Now you tell me, why shouldn't I do it?

You should do it, beacuse you have a perfectly sound RP reason to do it.

Good to see I managed to deliver my point.
So you see... It's "Good RP" when you know the reason(s) behind it, while my char might not find it suitable to mention "Hey guys! My business sux... But I can kill stuff for real, so I beg you! Hire me!" in his transmission.

That, in a simpler wording means - While the RP reasoning behind it might be even perfect, one can still go "Oh look! aerelm is bragging about his kills!" soon as they see the thread. So, just because the character doesn't find it suitable to write a novel to deliver a point which can be easily done with posting a wall of blue msgs, doesn't essentially mean it's the player doing it for their e-peen.

So... If you don't see it as InRp taunt, you'd better look again instead of taking it to an ooRp level.
That again, in simpler wording means - This community doesn't need better roleplayers, it simply requires friendlier players.
