Crow started his pilot career with a brawl in a bar in Leeds spaceport that ended with the death of a BPA Officer through his hands. Realising he'd be arrested and locked away for the rest of his life, he scratched together everything he had and bought a mediocre fighter and skittered away into space, setting course to the Borderworlds.
For the following years, Crow earned his living with minor escort duties, the assassination of low-profile targets and selling his services to the highest bidder.
Finally, his past caught up to him, the authorities of Bretonia picked up Crows trail and caught up to him rapidly.
There was only one way out of this situation, joining the Bounty Hunters Guild. With the enlistment in the Guild, all your past is erased, your crimes ammortized.
Within the guild, Crow was trained to be a professional pilot and exceptional killer, selling his skills to those who payed for the demise of societies bottom of the barrel.
He enjoyed doing his job. A lot. Job after job, contract after contract.
Then the guild went to war with the Order, the Core was founded. An organization relying entirely on the income of the common hunter. War taxes on bounties were raised, high percentages of Crows income went to support the (in his opineon) pointless war against the Order.
At some point in the recent past, the straw that broke the camel's back came in form of another witholded bounty paiment.
Crow resigned his membership and went on to continue things in his way, with noone restricting his actions and draining his profits.
He is out there now, working on his own bill, without any legal or ethical restraints.
