i tryt it out. first with a mastodon.... shoudnt have done that. the selfdestruct couses to loose ship with cargo.

it seems a bug to me. i make new char with a temp name. bumbing in a navy gunboat who was playing with his friend a trader they got in some kind of fighting i bumbed them both . still me shield droped and my hull was nice red and yellowish burning * 1less then 1 block of hull strenght left* the did the selfdestruct comand agian and whopah! i had the colision mesage. did it once more , said hey in system chat . not waited for replies and came back with Just joking. after that i repiared and did one more selfdestruct without breaking shield or hull. still that colision mesage came. popped back in space with my own navy char to make shure the navy dude didnt got in trouble. :yahoo:
