Standardize Weaponry

It's not a bad idea, I just wouldn't go so far to completely equalize all guns. I'd just make smaller differences, like 200 DPS max. (or for example, 500 weakest 4.0, 550 strongest 4.0)
We tried doing a similar thing in transition from 4.84 to 4.85, and we achieved a bit, but not enough.

However, it would kill diversity for some factions. Especially if you choose to put one speed for each refire rate.

As for codenames, they need to do less damage then they do now, or faction guns need to do more damage.
Basically, difference between Excalibur and Kraken is... more then 500 dps. They are not easy to use, but we will all agree they are spammed too much.

I'd suggest removing all of the lower class weapons as they aren't used.

Which ones do you mean? I believe they are all used by low rank members, why take that away from them?
And if you mean classes 7 or 8, they are still used on HF's and such, aren't they?
Anyway, I suggest talking to Mjolnir about all this, or bringing him over to this thread. I'm sure he knows way more than I do.

Oh and...

This in no way limits diversity. It in facts increases the diversity as each and every weapon type would have a version of each refire type.

I am against this. Too many guns. And if you choose a certain faction, you should adopt it's refire rate, that's not so hard.
And it would end up in everyone using the same weapon anyway. They'd figure out which one is best, don't worry.
