Allie didn't need to be told twice, he began to sprint, hand on his hat, which had miraculously stayed on his head through the whole ordeal, he yanked off the spit laden poncho, grabbing Cruz and throwing the pair of them down a side tunnel.

They banged and crashed their way end over end down a flight of very hard stairs, before they slammed into something hard, metal, and very painful.

Allie grunted, realizing he hurt in every place he could name, and quite a few he could only guess at. Picking himself up, he helped Cruz to his feet, to look around at the small alcove they'd wound up in. A single button on the wall.

Octo-hungry-saurus bellowed at them from the top of the stairs, spittle flying from its gaping maw as it started down towards them... and Allie did the only thing he could. He punched the button and prayed.

There was a whoosh as they were sucked up into the tube, and away from the mutated-thing, holding onto each other for dear-life and screaming as they were flushed through the system, and dumped out into a maintenance area with little to no ceremony, and a whole pile of extra bruises.

"Owwwwwww," Allie murmured, rolling up and unholstering his pistol as he squinted around him. "That... sucked."
