^THIS THIS THIS. Instead of trying to change the game to meet your wants Kharon, use what's in the game already to do so --> Escorts/Scouts. This makes you happy cause you don't get pirated as much, it makes freelancers happy because they have jobs to do, and it give pirates more challenges and encourages team play by them. Then everyone is happier.

If we just keep nerfing pirates, Freelancers wont have jobs, Miners will go everywhere unmolested and bored 24/7, and Pirates wont be able to make any money at all. Then everyone will be LESS happy.

Work within the game to meet your wants, don't try to change it to fit your soul want.

If you are having a hard time combating KuEx pirates, then get a KuEx Freelancer to help you. You'll save money, and the FL will have stuff to do actually. Pretty fun for everyone then no?
