Laowai. If I wanted to RP a Molly gang in Omegas I'd be perfectly within my rights to do so.
Mollys are not a pirating organization, they are people. They fight for independence.
If I put a Molly ID on my char, sure, most people will think I'm a pirate.
But I can use it and RP a peaceful character (not too often for Molly temper though) and fly around.
I can also go with my ma' and pa' to Omegas to live because I'm sick and tired of Molly silly politics in Dublin.
Just saying, there are plenty of reasons for Mollys to be around.

Those arent reasons for being there, and definitely not in force. I can make up reasons why a Xeno would have an interest in stopping foreign shipping in foreign houses as well for example. Everyone can all find reasons for what we wish to be so, it doesn't mean its correct or allowed.

Also, the way I see it, one jump from a system that has your base is perfectly within zoi. For example, Lane Hackers are a Liberty faction, but they are very within rights to pirate in Leeds or Manchester. Well, same goes for Mollys.

As I said (several times now) - I dont agree with Mollies being in Omega 5, and see no convincing reason for them to be so in the light of my previous objections. However, as i said (again) small raids i would put under a "whatever" category, except im entirely skeptical that that is what will happen.

And I'm actually quite amazed no one brought the point of Gaians going all the way to Kusari to hug with them Hogoshans and stuff? What's up with that, I suppose that's fine?

In my opinion - No, its not fine, Gaians may have a relationship with the Kusari but I personally think they have no business raiding into Kusari territory. Gaians are, as are the Mollies, a local outfit.

No one is bothered by Hogosha daily raids in Leeds either.

Thats easily explainable given the Hogosha's relationship to the Kusari authorities... who are in the process of invading Leeds.

No one is bothered by Corsairs in Rheinland, even though they've no base or whatsoever in it, just a lot of enemies.

Benefits of being - as i said already - large.
However, in the discovery context there is a long standing and established RP precedent for this (could be as far back as 4.83 but someone might need to correct me on that) - TBH players who have been here long enough will recall that there once was a Role played event covering a Corsair Invasion of Rheinland (As I said, Corsairs are large)... The Corsairs lost this event btw. Corsairs in New Berlin was also made a lot more feasible in the past given the location of the Sigma 13 Jumphole- Personally, i think a lot of Rheinland is way far for Corsairs but still, the precedent is there and its now encoded somewhere in the dark realms of Disco lore.

And Mollys are actually much more within RP to jump one system away and plant an ambush for them Bretonians and blow up their convoys.

This would be true if there were Bretonian Convoys in Omega 5.
Its also worth noting that Omega 5 is generally an Area we dont see the Bretonian lawful factions in either who are on the whole, supposed to be much better supplied than the Mollies.


But, as i said, Omega 47 is my main beef with this. I dont personally like the Omega 5 idea and have outlined my reasons why. We can agree to disagree which is fine.
