When it came to establishing Green Front as the political party, the platform behind the movement became a question. Current Green Front is a social-democratic environmentalist party with a lot of support.

I'm disputing this. The rumours you're basing this assertion on are coming up on 20 years old in game-time. Since then, the Gaians have strengthened their alliance with the Corsairs as well as throwing in their lot with Kusari. This will have a direct knock-on affect on the Green Front. Back in 800 A.S their offices were being firebombed on Cambridge, and that was when the Gaians were a mostly harmless pain in the ass. Now, they're fighting alongside an enemy nation that has invaded Bretonian core systems.

Public support doesn't survive a firestorm of stupendously bad decisions like that. Say what you like about logical decisions for the faction - Igiss decided that is what the Gaians were doing in Discovery, despite the fact it was probably the least logical decision they could have made. It doesn't matter how good a group's premise is, when the people they are directly funding (even if there is no evidence to prove it - people don't base gut feelings and 'support' on evidence for the most part) are killing Bretonian personnel in Hogshan ships. It just doesn't look good.

Modern Gaians are the nightmare equivalent of a wet dream for the Green Front's PR man.

(Also, this would go really well in the NLH forum area. Because faction forums are less active than this one, it won't get buried. This is an extremely useful thread, even with that quibble I've highlighted.)
