Ragen was born on Planet Manhattan, single child of a very wealthy family, both parents in the high-office of Interspace. His high intellect was noticed almost instantly after his few first days of school, continuing as he left his fellow classmates behind and applied as a student for the Robotic Engineering Institute of Manhattan at the age of only 14. His life as a student was pretty short as he quickly collected his diplomas from multiple institutes of both Planets Manhattan, Cambridge and even New Tokyo. He at last came to a stop to his years as a student at the age of 20, with Doctorates to Robotic, Mechanical and Computer Engineering and several master's degrees to other minor studies.

Later on, he recieved job offers from several private technology companies in multiple houses, mostly classified and the likes of projects which would change technology as people knew it. Although his employment in those companies was short, and he went working for the government. At the age of 22, he was employed by the Liberty Navy to work on top secret weapons experiments and technologies. Until he was transfered to the LSF, after that, Ragen was Off-The-Grid for several years. He technically didn't even exist while he was working on several projects for the LSF, all for the 'good of Liberty'. This chapter of his life continued for 5 years, until something changed.

He was working on a highly unstable weapons experiment. And had reported that he had completed the weapon, even though it was still highly unstable. On the final day when the weapon was to be supervised by the LSF and Navy, due to a technical fault and the weapon core's nature an immense burst of radiation was released upon the weapon's sudden catastrophic destruction. The non-existing research station IRN-F-67 had suddenly turned itself and the surrounding space into a radiation hazard, the casualities were 22 station and 14 Navy personnel, including high ranking officers. Ragen was blamed for the explosion and was sentenced to prison, and his clearance removed. Just before he was about to be taken to Prison Station Mitchell, he was ''kidnapped'' by unknown forces presumably either the Order or some of Ragen's 'friends', which were likely to be LSF Field Operatives.

Just before going dark, Ragen had also had the dossier that was kept on him by the LSF and Navy deleted, since he already was non-existent to the civilian population it was easy to clear up the rest. In the end he had escaped and was far away from the Liberty Government's reach, and was totally non-existant. And had started a new life. Soon after, a Zoner businessman or scientist, under the name of Jason Stone, who was also the owner of Thor Technologies, a small Zoner company dedicated on research of weapons technology, had 'hired' Ragen and put him as the head of the company's weapons research division.

Ragen's first sight of any Enclave 'member' was aboard the Thor research vessel Revolution, near the planet Gran Canaria, after a brief conversation with Prime Audax, Ragen was invited to stay at the Temple, and learn of the Enclave and their history, and the Creator if he wished, which he did. He left Thor and everything else he had, devoting himself entirely to the Enclave and the Creator. After several months in the Enclave, Ragen quickly read and learned, even memorized old Virulian scrolls and knowledge in matters of days, exceeding the knowledge of his 'rank' in only a few weeks. He was a very talented learner, and also with the Favor of a Vicar, the council had deemed Ragen worthy of a Deacon, so his robes were given.

Since Ragen is not Virulian by birth, it was hard to adapt to the nanites while a Deacon, although he quickly showed he already had some understanding of the nanites, and of what they can do. Ragen proved himself to be one of the most devoted and 'powerful' Deacons, and under the directive under his Mentor, Arch Deacon Basilisk, Ragen has become one of the most devoted members of the Enclave to the Nanite Technology, and has surpassed Deacon limits in his ability to control and master nano bots, although due to his non-relentless faith the Creator like other Animus members, it has taken a while for Ragen to be noticed, however, due to his fierce aggression, which is sometimes needed to make sure people believe the Creator in the way they should believe, Ragen has been promoted to an 'Arch Deacon', and serves as one of the most powerful (if not the most) members of the Enclave, only rivaled by the Patriarch himself. It is also known by very few Enclave members that Ragen is also a member of the Exarchs, a secret sub-cell of the Animus which even fewer prople know the cell's reasons or objectives, but it is clear that Ragen has had an increase of control and power over nanites and has become even ruthless to any enemies the Enclave might have.

Due to his new appearance, personality and powers, he is known as Anima Messor.
