Tau Defense Contract

The Board of Executives of the Emergency Defense Group Enterprise is proud to present Emergency Defense Group deployment contract to the Board of Guild Masters of the Independent Miners Guild. It is composed upon your request in accordance to our previous negotiations. Following terms and conditions of this contract have been mutually agreed upon.

This contract concerns the deployment of an Emergency Defense Group (§1) by the Emergency Defense Group Enterprise into specified systems (§2), for an unspecified period of time (§3), for a flat monthly rate of 80 000 000 SC increased by an optional motivational bonus paid at the end of each month that the contract is in effect. Emergency Defense Group's goal is to act as a hired military force and conduct offensive (§4) and defensive (§5) operations against specified parties, on behalf of the Independent Miners Guild and its unassociated affiliates.

Emergency Defense Group is a tactical military unit consisting of fighters, bombers, gunships, gunboats, destroyers, battlecruisers and battleships.

Emergency Defense Group will operate in the following systems: Coronado, Orkney, Tau 23, Tau 29, Tau 31, Tau 37, Tau 39.

[color=#FF9900]§3. Time

The contract will remain in effect for an unspecified period of time. Both parties may cancel the contract at any time, however the contract will remain in effect until the end of the current month, until the payment is regulated, and immediately after which it will cease to be valid.

Emergency Defense Group can actively pursue, engage and destroy ships belonging to the specified parties: [color=#FF0000]Outcasts, Queen Carina's Privateers, Unione Corse

§5. Defensive

• Emergency Defense Group can actively intercept, investigate and question any suspicious vessel identified as: [color=#FFFFFF]Pirate, Mercenary, Freelancer, Slaver, Smuggler, Junker or member of any unlawful faction.
  
• If the investigation produces evidence or suspicion that the individual is a threat to IMG assets or is allied with parties specified in paragraph §4 of this contract, Emergency Defense Group may demand from the vessel to leave the area. Exception is the Kiretsu transports carrying cardamine or transports hauling cardamine and are escorted by Kiretsu escorts.
  
• If the investigation produces evidence that the individual is carrying cardamine or slaves, Emergency Defense Group may demand from the vessel to drop the contraband and leave the area.
  
• If the individual does not comply to the demands, Emergency Defense Group may engage and destroy the vessel.
  
• If the individual is actively assisting parties specified in paragraph §4 of this contract, Emergency Defense Group may engage and destroy the vessel.
  

§6. Additional terms

• Both parties may renegotiate the contract at any time, however there must be agreement for the changes to take effect.
  
• The monthly payment will be sent to financial centre aboard Battleship Aurora. Exact account: [color=#FF9900]EDGE|XS|Aurora.
  
• EDG may use IMG bases to resupply, repair, or rest. This includes IMG bases in Tau 39.
  
• EDGE Board of Executives has complete authority and freedom regarding any and all tactical and strategic decisions concerning EDG operations within the contract.
  
• EDG will prioritize the safety of IMG civilians and assets as long as it is in accordance with existing doctrines and diplomatic relations.
  
• EDGE will cease to claim bounties on the IMG bounty board in systems specified in this contract for the duration of the contract.
  
• EDGE will provide evidence of destruction of any vessels and contraband under this contract, retrieval of slaves, as well as any other unspecified but significant happenings.
