Sev nodded her thanks, smiling at Misaka.
"Thank you...for that, and for this."
Kneeling next to the suit, she started cabling up the jumper pack. The two arms were clipped, however haphazardly, into the two metallic nodes. She did one final check of the suit, making sure every piece in place.
"Alright..."
She swallowed slightly, making sure the suit wasn't touching her directly, then walked over to the jumper and kneeled next to it. Thinking back to her briefings and training, she selected the best voltage for such a instance. When she was sure it was satisfactory, she flicked the switch.
In an instant, the suit seemed to light up, a wave of blue running through the material accompanied by a harsh crackle and buzz. Within a second, it was over, and Sev turned it off again. Looking at her suit, she let out a slight smile.
"It worked..." she said, picking up the clothing. The material seemed to take a marbled look, strange monotone patterns like oil on water before it sealed back into its former appearance. It was in one piece again, and with no apparant zips or buttons. Sev smiled.
"Now I'm rather glad that Concordia thought up all these innovations...I rather like this suit."
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
