Only to prove that no matter what is done, even if it's something like making Phantom tech and asset available again, which was requested over and over and over and over again, people would still find something to complain about and flood the forums with 1-liners of "Worst decision ever. Why you did this?!"

You're welcome.
maybe if the decisions made took into account majority community decisions instead of completely disregarding that, you wouldnt hear "Worst decision ever, whyd you do this?!" instead you would hear "oh wow the devs actually did something wanted?! i dont believe it."

Actually, there will always be a part of the community that will not like whatever the development/admin team decides on. And these people would voice their opinion. So yeah - basically every change (or lack of it) will induce q-q at some point.

Phantoms aren't revived or anything. Their new stuff will just be given a new, different use, that's it. The thread title is just "Phantoms 2.0" because I am sure that was way easier to type than "Something completely different that will use phantom tech and what they left behind, but it will under no circumstances be a revival of the phantoms"
The original title of the thread was "Admin Noticed: Phantoms are back" which sort of colors the whole first post rather differently.
They can use all the in-game assets all they want. I have a mild problem with using the name and modifying the lore of a faction that was killed purposefully by the leader. A decision backed by the founder.
I have a problem with using the name and gutting the spirit of a faction I was a member and leader of for years, not the reallocation of in-game assets (ships, weapons, stations, system) to a new group with a different name and new/interesting history.
My suggestion would be to simply cut omicron 82 entirely then remake the phantom assets in omega 47 into a smuggler/crime syndicate faction base. Reuse the ships to make different fighters, freighters and transports.
