EDIT: Okay I see Aluminium is still in Picardy.

The changes are still pretty harsh to most routes now, the PoB in Picardy should do fine though Big Grin
Then again, the route has been changed and made longer by about 3 systems and is also less profitable than it used to be, GG

Aluminum from Picardy goes to New London. The route to New Tokyo isn't profitable, as it's intended to be sourced from Munich, about half the distance away. GMS therefor has no viable Aluminum route, which is probably not intended.

Do consider though that aluminum mining in Picardy is properly quick now, unlike before.

Question: Why was NT chosen as one of two Raw Hydrocarbons buyers?
It's far too short for a regular ore route. Could the buyer be changed to either Liberty for a proper length route, or at least Honshu or Hokkaido for a slightly longer trip in Kusari?

edit: wrong account I guess, hue

I was told yesterday, the Gold Ore is still broken and mines multiple times faster than other ores. Likely the x3 multiplier is still active that Alley did as a quick&dirty fix when players (correctly) complained about Gold being worse than other ore types.

The Gold ore needs a buff.

regarding Scrap mining factions Junkers/ALG/EFL/DSE/Xenos:

What will come of the Regular Scrap mining bonus now that Scrap Metal is gone. Particularly for Junkers who get a 4x on it, will that be moved to Pscrap? or will a new commodity take its place? Just curious as to the plan. Or will it be up to the faction to decide.

Unlawful selling points are broken.

There are multiple examples in which you can make 5k/unit profit in the next system by e.g. grabbing a FL transport and hauling there. Why would people fly long, risky routes through bottlenecks when you can make money that cheaply?

The idea of unlawful selling points is good. We need that.
However, it needs to be done differently, imo.

Unlawful selling points should be on shady bases that are widely open for docking.
- for Omega ore: O41 Freeport
- for Tau ore: Omicron Alpha (Tau pirates should be OC aligned there anyway)
- for Dublin ore: Not Londonderry. Too short, too safe.
- ...

In my opinion, there should be 2-3 system routes for unlawfuls.
Lawful routes should be longer. Some are rather short at the moment, making them overpowered, and also discourage cooperation. Longer routes make people meet and fly together. Short ones provoke powertrading.

I do not entirely approve the above proposal. While I don't know that much about other ores, I've checked the Tau ones, and based on your minimum 2-3 system route criteria the only problematic destination I found in all three cases is Kagoshima in Kyushu, one jump from both T23 ores as well as Raw Hydros. Second closest to Niobium and Beryllium however is Valence in Dauphine, the removal of which would exclude almost the entire Gallic Unlawful playerbase from ore business as they are not necessarily (and mostly aren't) alighend with Outcasts. (E.g. Council could team up with IMG to haul stuff to Valence when the royals aren't looking...) Besides, OA is already a destination for Tau ores. Overall I approve the idea of longer routes too, but to me it seems that in the case of those three ores it's mostly done well.

Perhaps others could comment on your idea in regards of ores in other regions too.

Leave the freeports out of this. If the OC's get to sell on their own bases so should the Corsairs. Besides, not everyone wants to land on freeports. The Omegas routes are just fine and if you think they are too short make a Corsair transport and try to pirate someone for ore, its not as easy as it looks on paper. The only problem I see is with the junkers who can sell on pretty much every lawful and unlawful base but I guess there is no way to fix that
