We didn't ban everyone. With new anticheat methods, it's standard that if you flag the anticheat, you'll be placed in Bastille/unable to log in until you can post up and we can figure out why there was an anticheat log against you. 90% of the time it requires a game reinstall and you're good to go. It's not meant to be harsh, it's not meant to be unfair. It's meant as a precaution. It's been that way for a while.
Seriously, it's not like you then have a log on the forums about you cause you flagged the anti cheat. Not like we're keeping record and punishing people on whim, nor is this a punishment. For example, If you get in a car crash, you're going to be questioned by police to what happened. Doesn't mean you're in trouble, doesn't mean you're going to jail. It means the police want to know what happened, and if you're not the cause of it, you're free to go. Nothing on your record (as far as a criminal report), nothing wrong. Just a precaution to figure out why. That's all. An extreme example, but when I see posts like "God i'm glad I quit", not sure what else to say.
Oh I know you didn't ban everyone, that's what I'm saying.
There are people who are directly given assets which are supposedly against our rules, who are not banned, and who do not trigger the anticheat, I know because I was such a person, and factions that I led were given such favors as well, and that's the crux of my point here.
If you're gonna say that it's totally acceptable for an anticheat system to ban a person who was doing a thing that they were ALLOWED to do, then there should be zero tolerance for staff members who directly give people similar assets.
What I'm saying is that if you're going to ban SOME, you better start banning ALL.
But that's not the case now that I am aware of. I don't see any Admin giving assets that flag the anti cheat. Last I remember it was Jax with his SNAC Thor, but that was quite some time ago and hasn't been repeated. Thing is editing the .ini files, dev, admin, regular member is NOT allowed to do on the main server. I guess I'm not seeing where the double standard is currently. It may have been different before, but not now I don't believe.

It's an arbitrary thing that happened now, I was just painting a larger picture in my attempt to relay that message.
I guess I'll just use short sentences and be direct.
This current situation is the creation of an arbitrary system of controls.
