I was on a Rogue ship, fighting a FL ID'ed 5k full of Artifacts, when one of your fighters came by and started shooting me without a word.

Your ignoring the fact that the USI guy admitted he didnt talk, just because the Rog also acted inappropriately. Not to mention the USI apparently uing PM to berate the rogue for calling him out on it?

And a FL ID 5k, thats against the rules no? What is USI doing defending cheaters? Really responding to feedback rudely just because its negative is not good.

As you may have noticed we are taking action on the alledged incident.
I am ignoring nothing. He clearly stated he did not care to talk to enemies, but that is quite different to opponent. And as there is absolutely no evidence of an engagement, as i pointed out, i can only try to investigate the absence of coversation in the accuseds logs, which is a frankly pointless exercise.
That there is no clear evidence of the location does not help matters (though i get the impression this is Manhatan orbit) and could be salient to the circumstances and behaviour.

Is indication of a typical anti-docking technique being used, which leaves sufficient room for doubt that it may have been trying to dock Trenton Outpost. Which would have warranted an attack by Mr Sparrow, even a silent one, against a Rouge performing such an act there. The artifacts carried by Toben.Spirit would and should have been a secondary concern and then only to report it to Liberty officials. That it is a Freelancer in a 5ker is not his problem or USIs and is totally besides the point in this context.
I did point out that neither party behaved properly in conversation. That is something i can/have acted on, as the evidence is clear, though it was not mentioned in the report.
As for my attitude. As i found none of the presented 'evidence' substantiated the claim, and ignored what i felt was a more serious breach of conduct, i viewed it as a hostile post rather than sincere one. I should have been more polite and i apologise for my poor manners there. But, i do find that there is a steady undercurrent of disrespect for USI and its members. That isn't to say that there, has been/are not, many with failings. They are mostly new to Discovery and its concepts. We at least are willing to give anyone a chance and the assistance to improve, within our means. If you feel we are not up to that task then feel free to come and bless us with your experience. Our doors are open

Since this was bumped, I feel like commenting.

Most of my encounters with USI that involved more than a simple greeting were with pirate ships, and they were almost exclusively.......well, awesome.

I've come to expect a high standard of RP from USI ships, and you haven't disappointed me yet.
Keep up the good work!

(Can't name a specific encounter unless I dig through my chatlog. But eh, you guys are cool anyway)

It was between the California Gate and West Point, around 25k away from any docking point.
And about engagement evidence. What do you think? That I just yell randomly at someone while I pirate someone?
It took me a few seconds to realize that a second ship was shooting me, and when I turned around he already started running.

Thank you for the suplementary information. It is a very tough situation to evaluate regarding shooting at you. Did Mr Sparrow in fact reduce your shields to 50% or less or do damage to your hull ?

Hey, there is no clause in the rules at all that allows a silent attack, so no, it wouldn't.

the encounter I just had with one of your transports left all the hallmarks of a rather cancerous part of freelancer, leaving a very bad taste in my mouth.

that being the silent auto thrust lol engage transport, offering no interaction at all.

so in 40 minutes of interaction time your transport captain managed 3 words. and your escort also managed 3 words, though he was only there for 5 of that time.


Dont know why traders and trade factions complain that pirates are unreasonable when this is the level of interaction you want to put out, you need to lose your official faction status and go back to the shadows where this level of play belongs.

care to explain this?
