I did try, Ivan. He is somewhat right.

In my limited capacities in Order, I do try to make RP as interesting as possible for our pilots, Inventive missions etc.

RP is only limited by your imagination (and some rules)

I seriously dont know why dont you guys move an expedition to gather a nomad power cell daily. I mean seriously there's at least 50 of you over there, thats 50 nomad cells and don't forget all the failed attempts you guys will have.

Cause Nomad Cells don't exist anymore, and whenever they do 2-3 indy Osirises tag along making the Wilde very upset cause the 1-2 Wilde that can get on get roflpwned, so a few days later Wilde go and take over Omicron 100 for a while.

Isn't there anything left to "research" then?

Okay, it's got a slightly different name.

Still looks like a big, blue, glowing thing that USED to be called a Nomad Power Cell. Still works as a great RP device, too...

Yes, i do have that problem indeed,but all of you can see my point here-some of the suggestions made by Tenacity are good,and some are just wrong...i don't want to get involved in to allegiances and other stuff here beacouse it is meter of High command and i am just Order pilot, but the essence of the Order game must remain the same-bringing order into chaos of Sirius...I just don't see how it can be done by reducing Order into a fleet of spy's and in-chat-only players organized as sect of James Bond wanna-bis...maybe i m stupid or something...but,please....whatever you decide-don't ruin it for all of us.All the best to you-Wizard.

Totally agree. Even if I found the guns with 600 m/s totally crap. Discovery need to buff all the fighters weapons speed, greatly. 700 m/s should be the minimum. At the moment, Order weapons deal great damages but are energy consumer and slow. The total opposite of the Nomads guns. In a war, when you see your ennemy got better weapon, you try to capture some and enhance yours to match the enemy weaponry (like in WWII, German and Russian increasing their guns each others to match). Order need better guns just because Nomads have already betters guns. I don't ask for uber-wtfpwnd guns, just something closely related to Nomads stats. In fact, I think Order must be in the Top 3 of the betters fighters guns in Sirius, due to their RP.

What RP does the Order have now?
Little enough...

I think that, if we go with the new direction, we'll be getting better equipment.




Also, basing the weapon speeds off of something other than 600 doesn't work. There's a huge difference between 600 and 700 and then maybe a good difference between 700 and 800... but you can't really notice anything past that. Bumping up all speeds would rebalance everything, reinvent Freelancer's combat... very messy indeed.

I'm basically parroting what Martin said somewhere, it was a very nice post and I should have saved it.



Basically, it can't work.
