I gotta say, I agree with the post above. It is completely ludicrous that the Order caps are 100% allowed to Order and absolutely no one else can use them.
Not to mention the completely valid RP reasons that the Osiris is *completely* based and built on Liberty tech, and any further improvements were upgrades and not complete revamps.

Yep. The only thing this new nerf applies is forbidding anyone from using a Osiris that isn't order related, that not only gameplay but also RP-related, is completely bollocks.
Want me to clarificate? It's a game, and keeping such a well known ship as the Osiris restricted to one faction just because Order assumes their secrety ways make them mysterious and awesome isn't fair to the community. RP wise? LSF BUILD THE DAMN THING. Navy and LSF should get at minimum 75% nerf, 90% at best.

Im mad because Osiris is a FREAKIN LIBERTY MADE SHIP. Order never made it, all Order made were a useless Geb and a ORC. Liberty Tech should at least be 75% to 90% even though people for ooRP reasons want Order to have Osiris because Casper stole it. LSF STILL HAVE FREAKIN BLUE PRINTS.

Actually, you haven't =] ID discussion is unrelated and does not change the fact that the Osiris exists because of and is comprised of Liberty Tech.
I agree to a point, though I legitimately can't see much reason for the LN to use it over their newer designs, unless Liberty's been maintaining the same scale of upgrades and never using them. It's Liberty tech, but it's also nineteen years old. I think? What year is this anyway?
Given the whole Corsair situation, the Osiris really needs its own cell anyway I think. Unless we're now saying the Corsairs no longer have the Osiris plans that they were explicitly given a few years ago... which would just be weird.

Tottaly agreed, and I had completely forgotten that Corsair bit. Given how Corsair and Order relations have decayed between official factions lately, maybe they just don't care anymore -- though same as Liberty, it doesn't retcon the fact the tech is known and operable.
And there is always advantages in using smaller and lighter ship types., but my main point is the fairness of all this -- Order didn't made the Osiris alone, so she sure as hell don't deserve to have it all by themselves and other players be damned. =P
