The BD bomber is indicative of the way not having a baseline does affect balance in a negative way. It's getting fixed but it wouldn't need fixing if this was done right from the beginning, right?
if the Blood Dragons using it would use their daitos instead of krakens and infernos, and if tons of mercs didn't start using it with similar setup, it would not be that unbalanced.

But really, why bitch over what's already done, Akuma? Maybe if they had that baseline from the get-go, we wouldn't have this problem. Fact is, we do. Mistakes were made with a few ships, now they're being fixed.

With a SN and four deds the bomber is unbalanced. Saying that "if people would nerf themselves by using crappy guns" is kinda, well, you know...

There is almost no difference between the BD BS and the Bretonia one, so you seem very very misinformed here. Maybe that's why you don't know the difference between balance and out of balance?
Ships were thrown in with no eye for balance, often on behalf of a faction leader who wanted it that way for pvp (outcast cruiser anyone?).
If it's time to nitpick ID's isn't it time to bring some balance, fairness and structure to the various ships in the mod?

I guess so... too bad I have more pvp fights in both of them than you... cause you sold the Dragon one quite fast.. and got sanctioned for the Bret. one after first pvp as well :P

"Nitpick". That's a nice choice of word. Let's hear some concrete suggestions here on the second one to back up these platitudes. "Fairness. Structure." I'll get you started. The BHG Sea Serpent LF. What do you suggest should be done to it?

I never had a BD BS, ever, I had a bretonia BS, properly tagged and ID'd for quite a while before I had a falling out with Unselie, and had a few fights in it. Unfortunately when I decided after talking with Unselie to take the BS somewhere else some really immature people took that as an opportunity to get me sanctioned.
As I have always maintained that I think that sanction was way over the line, and Del even admitted on PM the sanction was largely to punish me for my posting on the forum (anti faction posting I guess), although koord has always denied it, yet doesn't explain why I got a 14 day ban for something that is usually a fine and a ID tweak.
Again I would request that I get a fair, open and honest appeal that's been denied me by the admins since day one.
Also, if you want to go through it I'm more than willing to go through the details, including my first PvP, an oorp attack on it by the GMG who saw it as a chance to get even instead of RP.
It's pretty sad actually.
