I've noticed that, at least for missions from Enclave bases in Aquitaine, SHFs and Gunboats both tend to pay out the same amount to a single player ($600,000). I 'm wondering if this was intentional, since the SHFs seem quite a bit easier to take down.

I've noticed also that Gaian gunships and Bretonian gunboats pay out the same amount. This is probably just because they're the same class of ship to the game, but I wonder if lighter gunboats might be differentiated in price from heavy ones? A flock of Bret GBs will eat their way through a Cruiser or Battlecruiser shield pretty handily, while the light ones sometimes can't even crack it if you can drop them fast enough.

A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

I've dropped in game after loooongish break just to pop some npc in a mission, see how are things going and get my fix on PvE, and when game sent me 5.4mil some time after the mission, I've got a heart attack.

Good stuff!

Tried out some of this stuff on my (future) Bounty Hunter character, and it really helps with earning enough money without resorting to drawing cash from trading characters. Kudos to the team for making this possible!

Anyway while these missions will be fun for the first hundred times while you try all the variations with all ship classes, eventually they will become a bit bland... I'm glad the team is thinking about "special" missions to spice up the variety though! The old Freelancer engine still has a few surprises left, just needs a bit of elbow grease and "out-of-the-box" thinking and you could do all kinds of stuff...

Sadly there aren't any scripting options for multiplayer but I really believe it could be emulated by existing mechanics with a bit of FLHook magic thrown in.

not even 1mil for cruiser kill in a 5,6m mission? How much then is bountu for bs kill?- 1,5 mil? nah.. was expecting somethin more. For fun- definately YES, but dont expect switch from mining or trading if your target is make money. In my opinion it should be at least about ~3mil for cruiser and ~5mil for Bs kill.. (if trading profits remain at their current level)

2. Killing these ships was ONLY way to get 1mil Sirius Credit Cards.. Now this is gone too Sad not saying, that these ships must drop them, but why these cards are not sold anymore on planets.. It was nice addition. It would be nice again to hold a 1mil, a 10 mil, maybe even a 100m card in cargohold.. why not?

I fly cap missions with battleships/dreadnoughts
And the anti cruiser missions seem very much comparable to trading ore, and seem faster than mining

5.6 mill missions are co-op ones - solo will take you too long and time is money

It is very likely that you are much more experienced in completing missions than I am.
It seems to me almost impossible to destroy a cruiser every minute compared to trading.
For example this simple route below... (of course zoners have even more profitable routes)

[+]traderoute

Stuttgart-Planet Stuttgart -> IledeFrance Versailles st.
Blue Jillies 13:54 11,180m
IledeFrance Versailles st. -> Zurich Oerlikon st.
Courtiers 7:54 6,765m
Zurich Oerlikon st. -> Stuttgart-Planet Stuttgart
Bio-monitors 6:24 6,520m

24,465millions in 28:12

I've been running cap missions for like 10 hours total in my life, they made me come back to the game

And yes cruisers and destroyers are like paper when you fly a dreadnought
The cruiser missions are actually faster than gunboat ones

This new system is great!
But it seems not working properly-when i and my buddy on bombers take antiGB\Cruisers\BS missions the bounty didn't score correctly-or not score at all. For example on antiGB mission we took out 12 ships and we gets bounty only for 3 ships. Other day was no bounty at all, only usual payment. And another day we invite a player's BS to our party and ran few various missions-and every bounty was added correctly(at least every time our BS scores a kill),as it is necessary to have a Capship in party to obtain correct bounty for kills. All was in Omicron Tau,Genoa base.

Really loving this system. It's totally invigorated the game for me after having been gone for so long. It's both very rewarding and extremely challenging from what's essentially a newbie's perspective.

Any chance that Nomad missions could be seen as a sort of "end game" style of PVE? Their rewards should be commensurate with their difficulty. Given the success of how the system is working right now, I'm hoping we can see this in the future.

Excellent work. It's fun as hell!

Excellent work. I log pretty much just for this, now.

They are. Nomad Battleship Remains is a commodity that POB owners seek to build cloaks and jump drives. They usually pay a decent amount for them
