This is ridiculous. Wasted 6% of my phones battery reading this thread and I want it back.

To all of you: grow up. "OMG ITS HARDER TO GET MY SHIP -whine-"

When I first read the intro to the thread, I saw some nice RP potential in blocking white cells. Factions literally having to hand ships over if you want to cut a deal seems (seemed) like an awesome idea.

But whatever.

Good work Cannon. Hope you get everything ironed out.

Synopsis of my opinion: restrict both white and red cell tech, everyone quit yer bitchin'.

Yes, because being upset I have to spend four hours to correctly rep a ship (Which won't ever have the correct rep either) means I am immature or need to grow up. Riiiight.

Take you own advice.

Or you could stop and think, have a faction member transfer the ID onto your ship, mount it, buy ship, and switch back to your old ID after selling that one. Elapsed time: 2 minutes.

Which is against the server rules. You really need to take your own advice.

Don't kid yourself. Transfers like that happen all the time. How else would CR get their ships/IDs? I know that's how I got mine when I joined.

That's a rule to stop two things:

People running around with two IDs so you can know who they are.

People getting IDs without the right to have them.

If you have the right to the ship, there shouldn't be a problem with having the ID given to you by a faction member for a total of 2 minutes. That rule should be revised for a little clarity.

Edit: what advice? I'm calm, rational, not flaming or bitching. I'm offering alternatives to what the "lynch mob" perceives as a definite evil.

You claiming that because people are upset over having to waste their time to set up a ship that they need to grow up.

True, there are exceptions to the rule, but your suggestion is not an exception and is a breach over server rules. Doesn't matter, admins fixed the issue. You should note who all voice their concern that the change was indeed bad. I am sure there are at least two ex-admins that both said it was stupid, not to mention a high number of faction leaders and other generally mature and intelligent folk.

Perhaps you should read the post above yours. I am sure I noted the problem was addressed and neither of us said a word after that. Though, I feel you need for a +1.
