' Wrote:That would require a completely new game to be made and we would die in laughter watching people sawing off the branch they are sitting on.
Surprisingly it wouldn't take an entire new game.
FLHook can adjust prices ingame for pretty much anything without needing a mod update.
FLHook can also adjust npcs and we can even have dynamic npc spawning (IE, Cannon sat in NY one day and spawned a swarm of Nomad npcs)
There are a huge number of possibilities out there to make Disco not just a ship/system pack but a proper expansion to the game.
Our only real limitations are:
1. FLHook developers. Cannon. That is it really. He's mod lead and an Admin as well.
2. Server player limit. FLServer would need rewriting, which requires more coders (Who could also easily do FlHook schtuff)
3. Time. Depending on what we want to achieve, the number of developers we have and how hard it is worked on, time could be an issue.
We could currently have players controlling everything and having to deal with all the consequences.
It just would take a bit of time to code properly, even with Cannon working like a demigod.

The whole mechanics changing the ingame prices and spawning NPCs according to players' actions in game probably need it.
Unless it's done ad hoc like Westfallen. In which case it doesn't really copy players' actions but rather whatever admins decide should happen.

Words of wisdom:sleep:
I see a lot of stuff goes around food... Yep some corsairs gonna die from starvation. And? it was always been like that. Even if you multiply food shipments being brought to gamma by x2 .. then all what would prolly happen is that corsair population jumps up again and they are in lack of food once again.
It's a constant death circle. It never ends and it acompanies corsairs as every day routine. Some wingmen died? Pff who cares about him he died, well the died. Now the titan being destroyed it's something to be concerned about.
A lot of stuff changes here. And changes aren't always what you might expect. Oftenly we can't decide what situation we will get into, but we can decide what to do with situation given to us. The real problem which I see here is that Zoner playerbase got very defensive. What corsairs are asking is pretty simple and rational solution. But even if zoner players themsleves realize that such solution is a good one... taking such road would mean 'admitting defeat'. Like Sairs pushed their agenda onto them.
And here we have all those "Food" arguments around to hide behind. Then the truth itself is just that someone wants to wave a prick. Even if suggested way of solving things is rational, just because the opposing group suggested it... one can't simply make that decision and start to act.

Edit: What Linkus said. No more Legates should mean no more Nephilims too, right?
I'm one of the few who would like to see Zoner caps gone too.
Really, if I could design the Zoner shipline...here's what it would have.
- Heavy Fighter -
Small, fast, interceptor, designed to trailblaze along the edges of known space - medium armor, medium core, and good agility. The Bayonet is a good example, and I'd be quick to point to it, if it wasn't so clearly Lane Hacker made
- VHF -
The Osprey - a long range escort, and deep space superiority fighter
- Bomber -
I'm iffy on this, but it's necessary. The Zoners don't need to build there own SNAC's- all they need to build is a platform to launch torpedoes and antimatter cannons from. Unlike other Zoner snubs, this thing would be designed purely for combat - medium core, but lots of armor, and medium agility.
- Gunship
Heavy Space exploration and trailblazer. I'd make this thing akin to the Bottlenose - very agile, but only a couple turret slots, and a low core. I'd also make it very very pretty. It has a function, and it can fight off snubs nicely, but against anything heavier, it becomes less able to do the job. This is the ship you want to take, and explore every known location in sirius with. It will also make a fine escort for Whale's, when an Osprey just wont do it (like against pesky Roc's, or combat freighters)
- Gunboat -
The Conference - maybe some redesigns, but in essence, it would serve the exact function as the Corvo - a deep space exploration platform, research platform, and all environment ship - capable of meeting most any threat. I'd give it a heavy core, heavy armor, and agility proportionate of that - with 7 to 8 turrets. Somewhat similar in function to the HF's "Inquisitor" gunboat. This means it can perform a wide range of combat roles - from razor boat, to chainfire gunship, etc.
- Freighter -
Kinda already have it - the Dromedary. Long range, really rugged, and lotsa guns. As well, this is one of those ships that the zoners freely export to everyone.
- Medium Transport -
While some would say the BWT is the Zoner medium, I wouldn't mind something else to take this role, something that, like the Zoner Whale, is something that is specifically a zoner ship. While I would be tempted to say "Zoner Battle Transport," I wont.
This thing should have around 3200 to 3500 cargo, and a decent number of turrets, but not enough that it can fight off everything - its not as helpless as the whale, but an escort of an osprey, or the above mentioned gunship, would be nice.
- Liner -
This would be a deep omicrons refugee and passenger ship, able to carry both people and cargo. Heavy armor, lotsa guns (battle transport), but only around...2200 cargo, maybe? I can see this thing as being the most used vessel by the Omicroners.
- Zoner Whale -
It is what it is. I'd buff it a bit by adding an extra CM slot, and a CD slot. As well, give it the same CD resistance that Train's have.
You know what make me always laughing about this food thing? That every zoner always scream:hit me and we will not bring you food on one side, while in the same moments when corsairs ask when they delivered food to gamma answer is:it is done in rp...
But because zoners are openly saying that they are not one faction, what about when will play thay we shoot zoners, but the zoners that are delivering food to crete IN RP.dont care???
I know that this idea is funny/stupid but exactly so i see zoners rping things when is there conflict...
You want an open engagement on every zoner enroute to crete. Those same shipments are your food shipments.
Shooting zoners makes them rather not want to supply you with anything. Plus, this whole thing started with you not being able to kill someone and QQing about it when he escaped to theta.
Man up, accept your factions weakness, and work accordingly. Attacking the primary junction of that supply line is absolutly retarded.
