I must appologise for the delay in this report, I err.. had been away on a business trip.. cough.
A pirate appeared in Berlin and informed us that he had 4 civillian pirates on board, and was leaving them by the Sigma 13 jump hole. Knowing that the WILD operate in the area i proceeded to the jump hole. Good job to as i approached I noticed on scanners 6 WILD zeroing in on the pilots. I tractored them to safety and took the pilots back to Berlin.
During the journey back I heard on the comm channel that a RM pilot had been killed by a Darth Malak. I thought at the time that was a big mistake. A while later i was informed by RM that known pirates were in Hamburg (Darth Malak and Ferryking ). I made my way to Hamburg and found the said pirates had jumped to Frankfurt. One gave chase and myself and another pilot made our way to Frankfurt via the trade lanes.
We caught up with the two in Munch and Ferryking was quickly dispatched, i found Malak and observed him from a distance. I did not open fire or make any hostile move. RM came on the scene and Malak, thinking i was not paying attention, malak opened fire on me. I lost all of my shields and had to use Bats and Bots to stay alive, otherwise Malak would have had another scalp.
The two RM pilots attacked and defending myself I joined the RM pilots to defeat this cowardly dog. It now appears that Malak was flying as a merc, for taking down a RM pilot the dog deserverd to die. As for Ferryking I did not see him and had no part in his destruction.
It has come to my attention that tonight there was no shipping training help for Squatingbear.
I took him under my wing as best as I could. I told him how to change rep to republican shipping.
Since he was new I shouldered the responsibility to escort him to a safe port to get his rep fixed.
On doing so I was cruising through Texas and came across A patrol of unioners[W] and pirates[N].
I was struck down on the way to the bearing system.
Orion was sitting at his desk, seemed strange to Sanguinius, he was usually at the bar. Hi chief sorry for not knocking but i am concerned about a few rumours I have been hearing.
I heard that the division is been re-organised along the lines of the military, and we will come under the command of Rheinland Military, we may as well join them if thats the case.
Some of the guys joined the division to help protect our traders, we need to do that, covering the Rheinlanders was not on the menu... saying that tho we don't want scum coming into Rheinland.
We need information to clear things up or we might start losing pilots just when the division was getting up to fighting strength

Message: Yes we are planning to reorganize the Security forces. However we are not going to become a part of RM nor will the command of Security forces be theirs. The details cannot be revealed as yet but rest assured you will are all still RepEx employees. The purposes of these talks is not to dilute the meaning of our force, but more to give it a concrete direction for the future. We will still escort our shipping and defend other freindly shippers. Our mandate will only grow, not change.
Any further questions can be directed to the Policy Affairs Bureau on Freiburg Station.

While shipping 4500 tons of diamonds from New Berlin to New Tokyo, and while under the escort of security officer Trek. I encountered 3 Junkers in a blockade near Gas Miner Naha. They shot the trade lane and outrageously demanded I give up 340 tons of diamonds for their petty thievery. I refused and asked security officer Trek to shoot them, but he was quickly downed due to a faulty shield system and they asked me again to give up my cargo. I told them they could take it from my cold, dead hands (as per the words of ancient trader Benjamin Heston) and eventually they destroyed my ship.
Among the pirates were a Van and a Shelby. They carried the IFF codes of Junker civilian ship.

Message: I am sorry to hear that 115. However our Accounting Firm has informed us, once viewing the insurance statement for our claim for the loss of goods, that the cost of loss is such that to sacrifice a small portion of our cargo in such situations would be more prudent. We care for the safety of our operators and as such we are striding to ensure the full protection of them by our Security Forces. However, once our only line of defense outside of Rheinland space has been breached your personal safety should be taken into account.
Do not feel the need to die for your cargo. Loss of cargo is easily dealt with, loss of pilot is however worse. Cost benefit analysis dictates that you assess the true cost. I wish you luck in the future.

It was more the general spirit of it, sir. If RepEx gives the impression that we negotiate with pirates and terrorists, this will likely alienate our allies in the Rheinland Kriegsmarine and ultimately lead to virtually any lowlife with a gun mugging and bilking our transports, leeching profits and forcing us to expede more and more money on security. Thus, by taking a stand, we send the message that we are a tough, fearless corporation not afraid of death and not willing to negotiate with criminals.
I realise recent policy in regards to the Brotherhood differs from this, but truly the Brotherhood is of a different ethical quality. They are an honourable, organized group of mostly level headed individuals, but the Junkers are mere thieves, scavengers and leeches, the typical pirate and the sort of lot we should not negotiate with, lest our annual profits sink.

As I was transporting to my destination in Cambridge I came across Two pirates of [BLS] Tagged in California. The Leader Spoke and said "DIE REPEX-Security" as I know this to be a battle cry which would certainly be my death. I cruised away from the said pirates and a chase insured. I managed to get away. But Makes me wonder is there other Pirates within Liberty? LSF was not patrolling California Like they normally do.
I fear that Liberty has there hands full of these pirates.
Advice on the next course of action that we might take whether it might be helping lsf patrol some of their space as a joint venture.
I must apologize for the incident near Planet Los Angeles today. The BLS security personnel involved were a part of the escort team we had assembled for the transfer of the Nayehiya's plagued folk to the Baffin system.
It was imperitive that these poor folk be delivered unharmed for the "cleansing". In order to maintain a quiet sit-rep, it was my duty to hold forces at bay near Los Angeles. It was not intentional that you were attacked, Trek. That pilot was acting of his own volition, but I do take responsibility for the lack of LNS and LSF forces in the arena.
The mission came to an end successfully very shortly after the Outcast engaged you. I wish it had finished just a bit sooner for your sake. Again, apologies, and should you have a loss, I'll humbly pay for any recovery warranted. Your call....
Message: Mein, I thank you for your immediately and unsolicited communication as per these events. The mandate of RepEx Security is to defend the conduct of primarily its own allied traders and secondarily the safety of all legal and freindly traders who may request protection. An unprovoked attack upon one of our agents is a matter of offense to our sensibilities as a just and compassionate corporation.
It is a matter of record that RepEx did, in the intial stages of the outbreak of the Nayehiya plague, offer and deliver humanitarian aide to the Kepler system for the purposes of lessening the suffering of those afflicted. Recent skirmishing among RM and RepEx forces within Rheinland space has brought into jeopardy the unspoken peace which we share with the Nayehiya.
Though it did not seem appropriate for RepEx to be directly involved in the events which you described, wherein the sufferers were being transported, we hold no grudge towards the spirit of the undertaking itself. As such the unprovoked attack on RepEx-Security|Trek was grossly out of context in terms of the true nature of the relationship between RepEx and the Nayehiya.
However, while such an event is cause for discussion, it is not cause for much more than that. We suffered no loss, and Trek escaped unscathed. To redress the controversy accrued through this unlawful act, we offer forgiveness and understanding. No repayment is necessary and no retaliation will be undertaken. Consider the slate wiped clean and all matters closed.
