Because something that Mjolnir wrote confused me.

-Why is it a monarchy? It doesn't make sense to me at all. France is a republic, and it seemed that vanilla followed these concepts.
USA - Liberty (Democracy and civil rights code)
UK - Monarchy (as they really are, constitutional)
Germans - Chancellor in both cases
Kusari - well, here's an exception.

So, is there a specific reason for it to be Monarchy?
I mean, if there is I'm fine with it. For example, they could have a pirate faction that fights for the revolution, or smtn.

-Is it going to have it's own Bounty Hunter faction or similar?
700 years would do it's job and some moneymakers would show up to hunt dangerous people for money.
If we assume that BHG never discovered the new colony, then we should assume they developed their own, similar, guild.

As for stuff not related to a new house..

-Is Hogosha Black Dragon VHF going to be implemented?
-Are there plans for improving some weapons as suggested in numerous threads?

That would be it, for now.
I may be a bit skeptic about this new house, but I like the idea of implementing totally new stuff.
Way to go!

Wikipedia Wrote:Freelancer takes place 800 years after the events in the computer game Starlancer.[15] In a bid to escape the civil war, the Alliance faction sent their people in stasis on an exodus from Sol.[16] Heading towards the Sirius system, the exodites settled and transformed the surrounding space (the Sirius sector) into a region of political intrigue and opportunity.[17] Named after the sleeper ships they arrived in, four political houses were formed with their societies bearing distinctive marks of their ancestries:[18] House Liberty of 1920's United States, Bretonia of Victorian era United Kingdom, Kusari of Shogunate era Japan, and Rheinland of Second Industrial Revolution Germany.[15] Rediscovering each other after long years of rebuilding, they formed "The New Alliance".[19] The fifth sleeper ship, Hispania, suffered a malfunction en-route and had to be abandoned in deep space.[5] The descendants of its crew became pirates.[14]

Gallia will also be in its special moment of history, the era right before the french revolution, me thinks. Since it is the part of its history where alot of things have occured, alot of actions, political stuff, wars, etc. A constant political turmoil.

Thanks for the Feedback, that explains it:)

Another question however!

I understand that humans were unable to discover them earlier.. But..
What about Nomads? How did they hide from them?
Whole Sirius is known to them, and they would have little or no trouble at all to find them.
That means - French are also aware of their presence.
Right?

Maybe the Nomads are why they hid.

Or it could be because they're French.

Sorry, that was low.

Seriously though, how would they steer clear of the Nomad War, or not want to join in considering the fate of Sirius was in the balance?

I don't think they could hide from Nomads with a simple minefield, sorry.

And I think they just might...

What the nomads knew about humanity was based upon what the Rheinland, Bretonia and Kusari brains could tell them. And I'm pretty sure these brains didn't contain info about what's on the other side of a minefield or even wether such a minefield exists!

And how about the Order? Order would probably know about these secrets..
They discovered Nomads first after all. I think they are capable of discovering other nations as well.
