In case of pirates, cutting your engines not to close to trade lanes usually makes them calm.

Cooldown timer? PLEASE NO!!!! guys... i see almost everyone here (not all) are focusing ONLY into combats!!! We are a lot of others more in Tradding/Mining... and this /setmsg is a NEEDED tool for our job.

But you also can thing it in other way... for those ABUSERS of /l1 then /l2 .... then openfire!!.... it is also good to see the timestamp of their comments. Really good for having a good evidence who is abusing of this (in the case)... I think also good for avoid those toxic players with this easy evidence hehe.

EDIT: Please add in the Rules:

3.6 Attacking without Roleplay and not giving enough time for respond

This would help

Guten tag, thank you for the tip.
Il will do my best to stay away from tradelanes getting pirated.
Now if you just send me the time and place for the upcoming pirating of my trade vessels il be sure not to utilize any tradelanes at that time and location, otherwise im afraid im merly always in a tradelane going back and forthbetween trading stations.
Predicament indeed.

Nevertheless improving ones RP ingame is contributing, il also try harder.

Cooldown timer is not needed , we have server rule that say Attacking party need to give sufficient time to defending party to respond , in case of pirating thats yes or no , in case of pew that either defenders to say ok fire away or they start fleeing , in case of joining in mass pew only one line is needed really , all RP is done already .
If someone is jerk enough to open fire to ship that don't move and don't respond to messages ( like he is AFK ) after lets say 30 seconds , he deserve all sanctions it will get .

You usually don't give an eff about preset/individual messages during a fight. However, I encountered way too many people that do /1, /2 within three seconds and don't wait for any response. It's less about having someone prepared for a fight but more to have someone having a chance to say something in the meantime.

I do want this back so I can /g8 'No u.' spam my group when we are mining and they want to run from the pirate BS.

EDIT: Also I use the setmsgs for cargo scans and the stuff that takes too long for those smugglers that are cruising to the docking point and then they get away and I have to deal with a mass of NC.

I re-enabled it. Should be working again after the server restart. Unless I enabled the other thing, in which case all of your text will now show up as this. Hard to tell..
