Absolutely screw them being plot opponents. Screw it. Screw it. Worse phantoms? Screw it.

Screw some random super-cult with strobe weapons flying the most generic ships in the mod. Screw NPCs that are unkillable. Screw something without any lore. Screw something inaccessible except through spawns. Screw pandering to the lowest common denominator. Screw turning science RP into a commodity.

Edit: Why don't you add a commodity called "Roleplay", wherin you tractor enough RP from NPC death you get any equipment you choose, hm? Why don't we just macro all our RP?

The idea of event was nice, Tæni. Thing is. Players went too far, as well as the main system.

Also, Cultists have a lore. Check their info.

Yes, it is. They are plot enemies, simply because nomad players aren't happy with being that. Now we have Cultists that definitely need a better balancing. The system came with the premise of "What happens here, stays here", which was intended to spice things up, but it really is sad, because the encounters in there had some nice RP potential. I made agreements with both @Byron and @Skorak about stuff that happened inRP there, though, so I can't complain about it, really. However, I think those things shouldn't be mindlessly ooRP, just for the sake of the eventing.

The cult of basement dwelling edgebeards can screw right off out of the lore of this mod.

We've got good guy outcasts, good guy nomads, good guy everyone. Why don't we make all the NPCs green to each other and sit around and hold hands? Why isn't this a universe dedicated to fabricating scented doilies?

Right - what absolute double standards. Phooms got removed and their RP was at least tangentially related to the K'hara and the Daam K'vosh. Now we have the cult of civillian carriers.

Because it's more realistic to have unknown High-Tech Drones jumping all over Sirius than swarms of Marduks in New York, the center of mankinds defenses. Has nothing to do with good-guy bad-guy, because we don't have good-guy nomads.

An infocard is not real lore. Also it is very cringy and senseless. The choice of Cult of Technology is weird, let's just look at this points:

1) drones that are so op that it makes -100% sense inRP -> Nobody in Sirius could build such ships no matter what.
2) why would a Cult with people able to create Jumpholes however they want, let Sirians get inside their storage systems just to end up getting stolen their own goodies? This makes 0 sense at all.
3) Why the hell do they get the claims for the most advanced technology in Sirius out of thin air? Having the explanation: "Yeah my cloaking device was originally made by the Cult" is ridiculous.


Overall I suppose we should change the events a bit, make them even less PvP orientated, restrict shipclasses (?!), change Cult to Nomads or even Coalition. (Could even be GRN or other house militarys and hence being an event for unlawfuls - quasi-lawfuls only [since unlawfuls are always having worse chances at the events we had so far] as long as it fits!) and the hell add some event rules to pretend stuff like 12 RM + LN caps in one group farming Sci Data and nobody can do anything at all about it.
