We should exaggerate small things to make news and headlines that are noteworthy when talking about the lore and past historical events.
If an admiral is to be noted in the event or what ever then so be it.
That's my opinion. Just write up what ever direction the factions wanna go and what fancy things happen.
Forum linked things that is. So no random un-forum documented skrim.
But a note worthy pob siege or recorded pvp event or those pve events would do.

We don't want to play in an oligarchy where the devs write a load of BS and force it on the rest of us. Its not fun, its not exciting, and its really not interesting. What it is, is exhausting.

My understanding is everyone comes here to have fun playing a GAME and generating a story TOGETHER.

We dont come here to pay homage to the devs for the detached and inexplicable plot choices they make each release. We don't come here to mindlessly toil at making money for any reason let alone a chance at maybe getting them to take a look at what we're up to. And we're certainly not here to watch the devs continue to abuse the community with this tyrannical behavior.

to quote my self from the discord:

There are not enough devs to write lore for the multitude of factions out there. Lore needs an over haul, official factions should be entrusted to make the lore for their faction and then have their ideas vetted for flaws publicly across the community. Devs should be DEVELOPING, balancing and fixing bugs, not fussing over lore. If that's too much like work for them maybe we need different devs. This is an RP community so the story is what we're here to make, its not something anyone has ever really wanted made for them or whats the point.

Also I want to say the returning vet program is a great idea, it took enough of the sting out of coming back to give this a shot, but its not going to keep us here and more of the same problems will drive us away.

If your ego is too delicate to accept the truth that its the policy killing the community and nothing but a complete overhaul can fix that, then the community is already doomed to fail, and our only hope is for someone else to take up the mantle and attempt to save what they can and make a new one.

We ALL want discovery to succeed and continue, but discovery isn't a dev story plot, its a community, and if you kill it, no amount of story development will bring it back once its truly gone.

Funny thing: Nothing has changed. You just now pay 1 billion before you get a "no" because your idea doesnt fit Durandals personal interests. Theres no matter if your Idea is good or if it could develop Disco to the better, it only matters if the Idea fits the opinion of one dude... Hilarious.

This isn't just a "shape up or ship out" to the devs anymore. They had their chance. This is a call to action. Someone take the data from this mod, and make a better one. Please. If I had the cash, or some kind of donation box, I'd do it myself. I'd like to be part of a community that is cared for by its own caretakers, and Freelancer is one of the best catalysts for this kind of community I've ever seen. If someone pulls together a go-fund-me or something for this, you can count on my donations.

That pretty much covers it all.

Does this also mean what doesn't make it into Canon through Dev hands or through the RCR, ends up as a part of Legends?

Why would I pay 1 Billion to have an infocard nobody trully reads rewritten? Why would I pay 1billion when I want to capture a base? Besides spending a lot of fundings inRP to effectively capture this base, now I also have to pay oorply to have a base with new Identficiation.

Tell me, friend. Since I can't usually communicate with you over discord, I will do it here.

Why? Who thought that taxing roleplay was a good idea? Who thought monetizing Discovery to such an extent is a bright idea? At least have the dignity to set this insulting price to 250millions - just like a SRP request.

Or make it refundable. So that good requests are approved and people don't lose money for being positive driving force in Discovery.

what are you doing
stop

So unfortunate that this is true. Saddest truth about Disco tbt.
