GENERAL INFORMATION:

Subjects of Special Study or Research: In 815 A.S. I was stationed on the Research Vessel Poseidon, commissioned out of The Cambridge Research Institute. I stayed as a member of the research crew for 6 months as the ship traveled to the far reaches of Sirius. Our teams main area of research was based on nomad beings, and nomad power cells. Although i cannot discuss much of that research here, i felt it valid to include that information in my application.
I have also had basic training and have taken flight classes to obtain an ID permitting me to pilot my Gunboat. More on that below...

My father died 7 months ago, and as his sole Inheritor, i have acquired both the ships he was in command of. I have in my possession already a MG-1 "Hydra" IMG Gunboat, and a Mining Ship. But however, my father AND my self have always been "loosely" affiliated with the IMG. For years my father worked along side with the IMG on his mining ship, many times he was subcontracted by the IMG to help in the Niobium fields around Java. He always kept a well trained crew, and, until his death, was the primary source of income for our family. He also worked independently, flying along side other IMG pilots, in the slave trade embargoes. He, as do I, felt very strongly about boycotting the slave market, and the slave trade routes throughout the Taus, and perhaps led to his Demise. Before his death, he personally trained me in the operation of his Hydra, and has trained me in leadership qualities concerning the operation of his mining ship, in the event that one day his ships he has worked so hard for would be passed down to his sole child, and i would live on to carry his name.
Well that day came early for him 7 months ago, he was caught in an attack from the Outcasts, trying to free the slaves he thought so preciously of. He managed to eject, but his lifepod was ruthlessly destroyed by the Outcasts that day. His Hydra was towed in to dock, and i became the inheritor of his property. I personally undertook the task of repairing and re-outfitting his Hydra, in hopes that i could fulfill his legacy. But since his death, the crew of the mining ship disbanded, and the ship has sat in dock, collecting dust.
This is why i have submitted this application to the IMG. Our family has worked side by side with them for as long as i can remember, and considering our Reputation with the IMG, i humbly hope the my application will be approved for submission for BOTH our ships.
The current callsign for the Gunboat is: DeadPool
and the callsign for the mining ship is: Majahual
I would so desire that Majahual, in all its glory, could be returned to active duty in the Niobium fields, so i therefore submit this application to the IMG in hopes that they will help restore my fathers legacy and provide a way of life for our family.
Also, i have been trained in basic piloting and combat skills on the Hydra, and it has been properly restored from its damaged condition and outfitted accordingly. I would be so inclined, and extremely happy, to see this ship return to active service and properly defending the IMG, and i offer my services forthwith to see that it will be.


REFERENCES:

1) Our family ship, Majahual, was part of the focus of an IMG "Event" about a month ago. I was able to hire a crew for the day, and Majahual was the only mining ship that showed up to the Gold fields in Dublin, and shorly thereafter we re-located to the Niobium field in Omega-49. Several escort ships, including the Mobius group, (//i think Jinx and Seth were there too) were around that day, and 3 or 4 transports were available. The Majahual, if i heard correctly, was proficient in filling these these transport ships efficiently and several convoys were created to haul the mined goods to proper locations including New York and Dresden, i believe. That is, until Corsairs showed up and disrupted our operation that day.
2) Majahual has been frequented by the Niobium fields outside Java Station. In fact, 2 years ago, our entire family moved there temporarily, until our father could improve our financial status to buy us a family estate on New London.
3) The Hydra "DeadPool" has been in many combat situations involving the Outcasts (also, as mentioned above) and i personally have played a part in the disruption of the Slave Trade throughout the Taus.

Suddenly, a quick flash of light fills the room, and is gone again before his eyes can adjust. Confused, Zenth looks up toward the ceiling to see a badly maintained light shimmering in the darkness ***

"Hello??? Is anyone here??"

*** Zenth looks around the room once more. Suddenly, Zenth gets a little startled when he hears a small noise from behind the glass panel. Zenth approaches the glass panel, and cups his hands over his eyes and places his forehead up to the glass, looking around inside for any signs of life. ***

"Hello? Is someone back there??"

*** After a few more seconds of silence, and a few more random flashes from the debilitated light above, Zenth turns around and heads for the door. ***

Zenth whispers to himself, "Must have been a rat or something back there making that noise....Hmmph..."

*** Greatly discouraged, he reaches the door. He turns back around and has one more look about before he passes back through the door, and shuts it gently behind him. ***

I hate to nag, but I am reluctantly standing outside your "Employment Office" at this very moment. I am not sure if this message is reaching anyone or not, but i took a look around the office, and it seems no-one has been here in quite some time. Perhaps the office has moved to a different location that i am not aware of. If that is the case, i am curious as to why it is so hard to find the "New" office.

Ah well, i trust that if someone IS getting this message, that my application would surely be responded to in a timely matter. Normally, i wouldn't show up in person to check on it, but i haven't heard anything in days, so i thought it wouldn't hurt to go talk to someone my self...

This is freelancer discovery of new york, I am applying to be a defence pilot for your organisation. I don't have a lot of experience as Ive just turned 18 and got my light fighter licence for the first time. I went to manhattan grammar school and got a degree in basic level fighter engineering. Since I was kid growing up in the busy streets of manhattan Ive always wanted to be an escort pilot. I feel I have a duty to try and protect defenceless and peaceful cargo ships just trying to go about their day. My uncle raised me and just last november his IMG convoy was raided by Outcasts in the taus. They say hes just missing but I know in my heart my uncle aint coming back.
I don't have anything to lose now and no place to go, I need a home and a family. Since my uncle was IMG it only makes sense to me now that I follow his footsteps in the hopes that one day maybe I will get the chance for some payback on those wretched Outcasts.
Even though I've only just got my licence I've been flying my uncles ravens talon since I was just a kid, and whenever we went mining he'd let me fly whilst he operated the lasers. I already know all about the IMG from my uncle, how you all look out for each other and how hard work and hopefully not so long hours hehe pay off.
Im not the kind of guy to float around I need a place to dig my roots so you can be sure Ill be going career if accepted.

I apologise for the late reply to your application I was called out to oversee a mining expedition, pioneering mining on comets in deep-space. It didnt turn out as successful as was hoped, but by the time the next comet comes in range, we should be ready with a refined strategy.

I see that youre keen to join our defence department, however I must warn this is not for the faint-hearted. The taus is a dangerous region of space for us independent miners and you have your whole life ahead of you. If you really are adamant to join though, we have the trainers and the ships to help you become a top ace in no time!

I have read through your lengthy application and am sure that with your experience, we would be happy to have at least your mining ship in our ranks! The acceptance of your gunboat however is a more delicate matter..

Current IMG policy is that standard defence members are allowed to pilot fighter class craft only. However, saying that, we are in need of more defensive personnel in the Taus and Omegas..

I shall have to talk to Director Syana and my Wing Commander before making a decision about accepting your gunboat, but I am more than happy to say welcome to the guild for your mining ship and its crew (whether you wish to hire a crew yourself, handpick one from our employment roster or allow us to assign one is up to you).

I shall get back to you regarding the membership status of your gunboat at a later date. In the meantime, I will send an encrypted transmission to you regarding IMG standard ship fittings and specifications for civiian and mining class vessels, as well as the passcodes for our Guildcomm (//skype) frequencies. Mr Mungiu, I have no idea what you are talking about when you say diplomatic problems. The Colonials and we are on regular terms.

Also, what on earth is a "viper"? Please clarify.
