Too true regarding the number of capital ships (that weren't the LSCs being escorted) that showed up even though it was specifically (WITH CONSTANT SERVER REMINDERS) only snubs allowed.
That one LABC though...

Video by Antonio, just popped up in the Gallic chat. Didn't see him post it here, so I'll do it. Didn't work for the first try, but it did for the rest.
The event was a draw. This is not something we planned for as the possibility did not originally exist. The reason for this is that Bretonia won, but I roleplayed one of the cruisers being disabled to make up for the miserable first wave. This turned out to be a mistake as we later elected not to count the first wave of the fight.
With the first wave out of the picture, the results looked like this:
Wave 2: 1 survivor, 2 lost (one intentionally)
Wave 3: 1 survivor, 2 lost
Wave 4: 3 survivors, 1 lost.
Essentially, it would have handed the victory to Gallia if we hadn't included the fourth cruiser, due entirely to a dev mistake, which I take full accountability for.
HOWEVER.
If we assume the intentional dead cruiser to be retconned, and provide only 3 cruisers in the final wave, this is what we get:
Wave 2: 2 survivors, 1 lost
Wave 3: 1 survivor, 2 lost
Wave 4: 2 survivors, 1 lost.
All else aside, that is still a win for Bretonia. I think everyone on the Gallic side should be counting their lucky stars that there were 4 LSCs instead of a retcon on my stupid suicide.
As stated previously, we are still discussing the consequences of a draw, as we had originally planned for an odd number of ships (9, 3 per wave). The only thing I can assure anyone of at this time is that this result will NOT result in story stagnation, and that everyone did have an impact on the progression of the war.
I was flying with the Navy and that was fun.
My first pvp event for a very long time...
I killed twice and get killed twice, I definitively need to improve my skills.
The first part of the event I flied with a large group of ships. things were pretty well organized: targets were clearly identified and players cooperated. That was the really fun part.
Then I had to quit that group and it was not possible to join again because it had reached the maximum number of people. Thus it was more complicated to cooperate with the rest of the team.
Anyway, congrats to Gallia and Corsairs, you did a great job despite you were outnumbered (and suffering technical issues with the server).

Everyone's looking only for their own benefit and how it fits them rather than trying to make it enjoyable for everyone else, why am I and a small minority of others even bothering then?
Kudos for the organizing and the concept, keep it up. I hope the torpedo bug can be fixed somehow because it hindered the potential of this event a lot.
Edit: Also very happy to see the server full again, we're gonna have to increase the max amount of slots in the future.
I cant believe im agreeing w Antonio, but thats it. I just made a Gallic bomber and snub because was seeing just LN's and Baf's logging and warming up.
Which fun exist in mindless ganking? One could barely see between the incoming fire at every time gone for a scorcher bombing run.
While the event, the idea behind it and the effect on server been wonderful, the attitude of many wasnt.
I really hope we can have more "balanced" events in future, and that fairness can be a thing (and that i can log a fighter instead a bomber reeeeeee)
Anyway kudos to "brothers-in-arms" (for this pew) that stayed in field (Meph, U saved my ass multiple times in 1st wave) despite everythig. And to the devs for trying, looking foward for the next ones.

snub players can finally be usefull to us cap overlords.
So, speaking from the sidelines, since I didn't take part (though I wish I could've), I don't see how in any way this event was a draw.
Frankly, if the last wave was not supposed to include a fourth cruiser, then it shouldn't be counted (obviously). Also, if you intentionally..

threw your cruiser away, even though you were an event ship, you should first be slapped on the hand, then counted as an asset that made it, since what I hear from people who were there, you made it to the finish line anyway.
Making this a draw is not only tactically inane but also admittedly pretty stupid. I may not have been there, but with this amount of miscoordination on the part of the people running the event, I'm a little glad I couldn't show up.
Look at the facts, and not make this overly complicated. The numbers are there, so figure it out, for the server's sake.
If Gallia had won the encounter or got a draw, the Allies side will be upset that mistakes were made and ended up with that. If the Allies win, then the Gallic players will feel like this is straight up one-sided and impossible to contest against anyway (let's be fair here, even if GRN did have more accurate DPS and no issues with tracking, they still wouldn't get all the ships I imagine).
Either you're part of the #DeleteGallia bandwagon or the Gallic one, I think it's worth reminding that this is a game and you're meant to have fun in events. There's no reason to start spewing vitriol for a mistake that the person responsible had acknowledged. Besides the flop of the first wave, I had quite a lot of fun with the fireworks and from what I hear the ally side did, too.
Things will probably be lost on both sides, it's immature to take that personally. While I'm absolutely certain that the events team/devs will take the things they've learned on board and improve the next events, the players need to see it differently too.
Besides, when was the last time you had an opportunity to affect the outcome of the official storyline?
