This is just one of those threads that stands the test of time. Seems it will always pop up again at some point or another. A lot of the really good short runs have been altered. Seems also everything that was seriously lucrative has been destroyed. Anyone have any good short safe runs that keep up profit over time with some of the longer more dangerous ones? I know whenever I first start a character on any server, I run consumer goods from Ft Bush to planet pitsburg. Not a huge amount of credits, but safe enough until I can get a rhino. Then it's off to tokyo.
I generally pick up **** *** from ****** or ******* then sell it at ******* *********; it fits perfectly with the id on my transport: with just a little rp, the pirates in ******, ******** or ********** let me pass. the return leg is not quite point to point, but it begins just one trade lane away at ***** ********* I have to duck pirates on my way to ***** *** ******, which is only one trade lane away from the gate to the ****** system. Usually they are the same ones, so they don't ask too many questions about me carrying this cargo.

I generally pick up gold ore from Dublin or Chester then sell it at Detroit Munitions; it fits perfectly with the id on my transport: with just a little rp, the pirates in Leeds, Magellan or California let me pass. The return leg is not quite point to point, but it begins just one trade lane away at Planet Manhattan. I have to duck pirates on my way to Planet New London, which is only one trade lane away from the gate to the Dublin System.
