So Battleships have always been weak against smaller, faster moving targets as they are designed for anti-capital duty. If you want to engage fighetrs ask the designers/developers if you can help them design an AEGIS cruiser or something.
If you want to engage fighters.....get a fighter. Simple as that.
You have a battleship. I assume that in its stomach would be at least 1 fighter.

I havent fought Cruisers or Battleship in the new version with my bomber yet, but the range of the anti bomber weapons have been drasticaly decreased.
Fighting Gunboats has not changed much, though now you just need to get over 900meters and you are save, until you can make another approach.
GBs can catch up due to their thrusters, when cruisers or battleships cant.
But this issue wont be a big problem, due to the fact that those big ships are not designed to fight smaller crafts on long range.
Move into the Flak turret killingzone and you are pretty much screwed.
Inside this range, the other turrets will also harm you.
This causes any bomber to get some distance....what will lead you to call in the fighters, to deal with them.
The big ships are made for beeing a mobile base, refitting point, base or frontline-defense, the provider of heavy firepower against other capitals or bases and, of course, to provide cover due to the barrage ability.
Everyone has all those abilities. And dont tell me you havent got them.
I cannot roleplay when i am being attacked by a hellstorm of bombers, which I can do nothing about.
By the way Kurosora, I have flown bombers, And they failed so bad I gave away my SN and my Infero to a bunch of nubs. I really hate this new version, altought playing it is irresistible.
Calling in the fighters? Again with the escorts, Its impossible to have them 24/7 and stating

When will you realise that a Battleship is not designed for defeating fighters. A good example is what happened to the Repulse and Prince of Wales in WW2. They two of the more modern battlecruisers advanced on their own without support and were destroyed by aerial forces. If you dont wnat to be defeated by fighters then get support yes its a pain but its why battleships dont operate alone.

A Zoner Juggernaut isn't going to get owned by a bomber hellstorm, unless it's the Keepers, Wilde, or Harvesters, which likely aren't going to show up by a Zoner base, as A) the base guns are buffed and B) player Juggernauts are meant for defense.
Yes, and some people fail at flying caps, so they fly bombers. Probably because you gave away your bomber equipment do you get raped. Think about you actions and what you say.

If you can't hit bombers that would be your problem mate. Fending off 3 bombers is quite easy actually.
But yea ... Lets mount primaries, secondaries, solaris, missiles, razors and god knows what, basically everything that has different projectile speed would do.
actualy.. best way to hit something fast is equpping primary and 2ndary..
animation same.. but project speed is not.. and some of them will mess the bomber sight and cant dodge so easly. and heavy mortar.. for cap ships.. thats all u need.. rest aint work.. or u aint have enuff energy to use other weapons. MR I KNOW ALL
