I generally pick up gold ore from Dublin or Chester then sell it at Detroit Munitions; it fits perfectly with the id on my transport: with just a little rp, the pirates in Leeds, Magellan or California let me pass. The return leg is not quite point to point, but it begins just one trade lane away at Planet Manhattan. I have to duck pirates on my way to Planet New London, which is only one trade lane away from the gate to the Dublin System.
Coin: I am not sure about [Chester] but I desperately need that cookie so I will give it a try ! :rolleyes:

A good beginner route is wine from Manhattan to my ship at Norfolk, where i buy it for 5000 credits each bottle.

Same for Tobacco from Pittsburg.

With beginner routes i mean, i ask only <lvl 20 pilots for those deals.

My best trade route is...secret!

Just kidding. I know I can make more money by picking a trade route and sticking to it, but I find that tiring. I prefer to bounce all over Sirius as whimsy takes me.

Best post of the whole topic, imho. A soft, jentle, indirect mention of the fact that pirates may be reading this topic and learn from it (meta-gaming it be or not), and then absolutely best advice about trade which may be done -- bouncing all over Sirius, i mean. Like in Bradbery's books about that independent trader bouncing all over the galaxy and having all sorts of adventures. THE way to trade!:)
