Current democracy model? Hmm. Technically true, but the French have been amongst the worst at applying it in the stronger nations. See: Constant rioting since the Revolution. Also: Napoleon taking over and the trend for fascists to receive vast amounts of votes.
Cinema is not such a huge deal compared to inventions from other countries (see: printing press)...
French colonies? Not strong compared to colonies of the other colonial powers such as Britain, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal.
I guess the bread is an awesome achievement... even though bread was invented in the middle east.
Anyway, take it as the joke that it is before you irritate people and I have to break out the historical references.
