One “Fatboy Reaver” has already contacted you, showing what small minded men can misconstrue. He is of no consequence. We shall do our best to stay out of GMG space and wish you well.

I guess that wasn't true.

The transmission was not directed at you or at anyone who would tell you of what was in the transmission. There was no possible way you could know of this - the individual that I "photographed" and "reported" to the GMG has been flying around with these guns for weeks if not months, so anyone could have sent this transmission to the GMG - even weeks ago.

There is no possible way you could even suspect my - Fatboy Reaver - involvement save for metagame knowledge.

As a faction that, in the past, spent a great deal of time educating new players, or at the very least claiming to do so, it would seem appropriate to me that you knew the forum rules / mechanics as well.

Just to satisfy my curiosity for what reason would Fatboy Reaver send a transmission to GMG that somebody was using their guns? I assume it was out of a sense of civic duty! Does he also know all the people within Sirius who GMG have allowed to use their guns?

I know that the Reavers are their Bounty Boards as a Contractor. But, in my experience, Organisations don't tell their Contractors any more information than is necessary/relevant to do their job.

Perhaps Fatboy Reaver isn't that nice a guy, and figured "Hey, if we have to work to get access to these guns, why can my -enemies- freely use them? Maybe they don't have permission. Let's send a transmission just in case."

And no, he doesn't know who does and doesn't have permission. If you read the transmission carefully, it doesn't state anywhere that he knows whether or not the Judge in question is allowed to use them. He's simply sending guncam shots they might be interested in.

Edit:

If you read between the lines, part of the reasoning for him to bother sending this transmission is that he was shot by the guns. Not very strange he'd rather be shot at with Flashies than those painful banana guns, no?

I won't particularly (although some might with their 'vendetta'), it's just some bad timing with the faction under heavy scrutiny. It was the same with EFL - a bunch of very obvious posts when everyone was watching them, from a high-up no less. People gain an impression, but if it does actually stop then it should be fine.

The same logic can be applied to Rheinland - just because you do not wish to fight them, does not mean they will not be aggressive in response to you. Even if you have decided that they have a rogue cruiser captain, it is up to them whether they care for your opinion, or for whatever reason decide to defend their assets. Kai has the reasoning fairly well covered anyway.

Sometimes it would be useful, if, when reading something that it was inwardly digested at the same time so that an understanding of what has been written can be achieved!

In other words read the whole passage, try to understand what is written and try not to assume you know what was written. Then maybe an understanding of what was written will be yours.

We are all guilty of it! Some are more prone to having this problem than others.

Well, I actually did. Got lots of totally unimportant information, also, unfortunately, confirmed my suspicions.

There's something that caught my attention, though:

The Freelancer ID prohibits what you are actually intending to do. Liberty might be the center of the map, but there is a whole universe out there. Maybe a suggestion as people think its empty there.. Take the Gallic Royal Police ID for example or maybe the Gallic Royal Navy ID. It might for your the Judges itself be a good change. You will bring law and order over there. Wich means you bring activity to those regions. Others will play more there too. But then again the lore would have to be rewritten or adjusted to fit this. (its a mere suggestion)

I'd like to second this. Because as it, sometimes, looks, by incorporating newbies (term, used to define a player that arrived to this server just recently - and I see plenty of people who joined forums in 2013) into your Newark or whatever sitting parties, you were effectively cutting them from interaction (which does not necessarily means verbal interaction, but any kind of it) with surrounding world. And this is what worried me most.

I'd rather look at those 25 active players sitting in their LN/Hessian/Whatever bombers through the aim of my RMBS, than... this. (ofc., there're plenty of other non-military/combat roles out there. Interact with the world, dammit)

I think its fairly true when I say that the GRN won't be too friendly to the judges anywhere in the near future :-D

You missed the whole point on what I was trying to say. I don't think any of the Judges joined the game this year. The experience of the players within the Judges varies greatly. We have players who have been 'in game for years' on one Server or other. Some, like myself, have played for over a year (and yes compared to some I am still a relatively 'newcomer' to the game). I have mentioned, also, in previous posts, within this thread, that the Players of the Judges are members of quite a few Factions (Official and non Official). So maybe it is time you tried another record as this sound is getting very old and worn!

And, as for forum accounts, how many people have more than one Alt on the forums? From what what I gather it is common and easy to achieve this. So by having a recent Forum Account doesn't actually mean anything!

Thanks for your great insight.

I am sure that it was mentioned that the Judges were trying to unite the Main Four Houses. I didn't think that this included the House of Gallia. We will cross that bridge when we come to it. If we end up helping IMG then part of the required agreement, from IMG, is that we will not attack Gallic Forces. That said we will retaliate if attacked!

I really don't see how attacking Rheinland ships will help reuniting the four houses...

Actually they kinda messed up with both Gallia and Rheinland so I guess they are down to 3 houses now...
