You suggested something I did was sanctionable, I am saying report me for it and be done with it.

We could go back the original plan for 486 and have Gallia parked on top of Planet New London.

I never said I wanted anything like this, and people shouting at each other on both sides isnt helping. I like the Ronin and I like the idea behind the ronin. I just dont see why you wont Sign a treaty with us, which will prevent confusion, and allow us to get along.

Because as you can see from the content of this thread, this treaty wouldn't be able allying against Gallia, but instead about making slaves of the Ronin and putting up stupid hurdles infront of people trying to play out the role that the storyline gives them to play.

I'm all for replacing the Ronin with Valors inside Leeds if it comes to that...

With the Tea Party-esque attitude & language coming from some people I think it might happen.

The Ronin is a really cool idea, faction or not it should stay.

The REAL funny thing is despite if this specific group gets official or even stays or not, the Ronin and the Kusari Exiles are very very, very real in this mod.

It's good to see how BAF is gonna play it.

So, until this faction gets official, what's BAF going to do with Ronins? Shoot them all? Because right now, there's no one with the power to sign a treaty, if a treaty is gonna be signed.

There are better ways to make it 'different', making it silly just for difference is bad writing.

People aren't trying to tie down the Ronin, they aren't trying to enslave them. What they want is a treaty that they can properly play by in-game and in-rp, they want a treaty that takes into account the things the Ronin would, in-rp, have to give up for Bretonia to ever have a chance of agreeing with them, being giving back the Taus to Bretonia.

People's point is that it's highly unrealistic for Bretonia, after having lost many people to the Kusari invasions, would just suddenly get on their knees, give the Ronin so much without asking for anything but help from a meager and small fleet.

So far, it's pretty much a one sided treaty, giving the Ronin all of the advantages while Bretonia is paying for them while the Ronin lose nothing from it.

This is what people want, they want a realistic treaty that isn't one sided, that's fair to both sides.

Not to tie down your faction, not to control it, as you so oddly think.

This is a toaster. My two cents will follow shortly.

Quote:Men, it is my responsibility to brief you today on the events of the last few weeks.

Every nation is measured by how it reacts to the dark days, and these are dark days for Kusari, and how we react will show future generations how the noble Kusari nation deals with adversity. We, here in the cloud in Newcastle, and those still loyal to us, we are the last vestiges of the true Kusari government. In the days to come our struggle will get harder, not easier. But out there, in our future, there is a return to Kusari, and a return to Kusari noble and honored past and future.

Yes, stranded in Newcastle, uh-huh. With as much open space and as many jump holes as that system has, your little battlegroup could not possibly have escaped to Tau-31, and then to Kusari.

Quote:Things have happened quickly over the last few weeks, and we have found our situation dramatically changed. When the Gallic forced moved into Tau 31 and cut us off from the main body of the KNF in the Taus, politicians in Kishiros pocket, launched a political coup in the Council of the Rising Suns, using my absence to push through a change of government. These villains will have their time, but they cannot hold out against the true honor of Kusari, and the Kusari people will soon see that and demand change.
After a Gallic attack on my very own ship, the Satsuma in Leeds, and a fierce battle to help defend the Leeds Jumpgate, we were forced to withdraw, pulling back into the clouds on Newcastle, where we can safely launch operations, and maintain our supply lines, if needed through the Gaian base Skye.

What is a political leader doing on the battlefield?

Quote:The first thing this new farce of a government did was to make peace with Gallia, and the Bretonia. They have shown themselves to be weak, and the Kusari people will never accept a weak government for long. We could easily attack these forces, but it is not the pilots of the KNF who are weak, nor the soldiers who are evil, but instead the Kishro leadership that is at fault. We know though, that a direct confrontation will serve little purpose and only create ill will toward us from our people. We have seen how futile the Blood Dragons have been in over 400 years. We will not make this mistake.

If you could, then why haven't you already?

Quote:We have had to make a hard choice, as we cannot maintain our fight against both the Gallic invaders and the Bretonian forces. The Bretonians have been honest enemies, as opposed to the Gallics, sending in spies, and bringing overtures of friendship while massing their forces. We have made an agreement with the Bretonians, who will help us with supplies, while we focus on our main goal, which is the defeat of the Gallic Navy.

Enemies are never honest, and all wars are wars of deception. You're really drawing on the stereotypical (and centuries-old even in OUR reality) idea of honor and all it's doing is enforcing the stereotypes that shipped with the vanilla game.

Quote:So here we find ourselves, in a cloud in Newcastle, or in orbit of Harris, exiled from our home, until such time as we have redeemed ourselves to our people. We are not totally alone, we have true friends both here and in Kusari. The honorable pilots of the Farmers Alliance have remained loyal, even at the cost of their own status in Kusari, and their facilities in Tau 42, as well as their voice in Kusari will serve our struggle well.

Close to us, we have our old friends the Gaians, who have stood by us in our campaign versus the Bretonians. They have also been ousted from their home by the Gallic Navy, and we hope to continue our mutual support in planning and carrying out attacks.

It doesn't make any sense for the AFA, who aren't punished by the KNF for their less-than-legal activities to ally with a faction that's fighting against Gallia, which is an ally of Kusari at the present time.

Quote:From our headquarters, here in the Newcastle cloud, we shall begin to launch attacks against the GRN In Tau 31 and Leeds. Our ultimate goal of course is the destructions of the GRN, which will bring about our redemption in Kusari.

This entire roleplay seems silly and borderline racist. You also appear to be lacking players or any previous logged time on the server as you're trying to go official from the ground level.

TL;DR:

Start your faction like everyone else, and come up with a better excuse for fighting than "honor" and "weak government."

Edit: ALSO, ZELOT, YOUR FACTION IDEA SEEMS TO BE RONIN OUT OF STEAM
DO-HO-HO-HO-HOH!

A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.
