USI has nothing particularly interesting or unique in the faction's lore, except for supposedly having ties to the Xenos....which is cool, I guess.
But I would never choose a Liberty corporate faction anyway. Because that would probably involve flying around in Liberty. And flying around in Liberty means being pirated all the time.
Obviously, ALG is the best corporate faction. Access to all houses, no dedicated enemies, pretty much every restricted cargo / export permission you can possibly have, an extremely active and reliable partner for mining ops (IMG).....oh yeah, and we're the only corporate faction of them all to have their very own ship. Which also happens to be the largest mining-capable vessel by a huge margin, for when you feel like engaging in the incredibly unprofitable activity of scrap or waste collecting.
Basically the only restriction is not being able to carry anything other than HazMats into Liberty, and nothing out of Liberty except Scrap Metal and Toxic Waste.
But like I said, why would anyone want to trade in Liberty in the first place?

That's true. USI has one of the coolest tags of them all.
Hm, upon rereading this it's probably too serious for flood.
So here's a picture of a pleased seal.
Honestly, I wonder why Interspace is even a hauler. Or a playable faction for that matter. They're into insurance, not cargo movement. It'd make more sense for Interspace to focus their fleet on crime reduction and lane security rather then being yet-another-hauler.
One thought to make the house haulers a little more popular is to give the house trains a small cargo boost, past 5000. House trains only, and house HAULER usage only for those - Meaning Repex, USI, Gateway, Bowex, Kishiro, Samura, IDF. Noone else. Factions who RP-wise exist to move cargo should have a bonus in doing so.
And no, player factions spun off from the Zoners or Interspace wouldn't need that boon either.

Heh ... make cargo pods have "750 units of cargo space each"? As in ... Stork at 6k cargo space, Crane at 4.5k, Heron 3k, Albatross 3k, Gull 1.5k...and the big house transports also at 6k instead of 5k? |8
And then have them only be available to the respective trading factions - the ones you named?! (Though Kishiro and Samura are ... both also "miners")

Do it, and let the QQ commence!
Actually, I genuinely like this idea.
Or, since that would involve making a bunch of new ships, just lower non-shipping factions to their house battletranses.
Except ALG, which would need 4700 for the Golem
Edit: Just saw you meant to increase existing 5ks' hold sizes. That's cool too, although honestly there's enough money in the economy as it is.

Tried that. Game doesn't support that for players.

Less speculating, more doing. Start by deleting the IC ID and all of their npcs.
