Susan looks around the spanning around, sighing quietly, resting her head and hands on the desk in-front of her rather unprofessionally. "Well.. Probably should finish the project construction.."

Tiredly getting up, she leaves the room, only to return with a few people carrying tools. "Cut a five by five inch hole in the outside tubing about.. There" Pointing to an area in the circle "Cut the second tubing we have that isn't connected to the mechanism and terminal, pull about three feet from it out of that hole"

She watches as they nod and start to get to work without a second thought, now and then asking her if they were doing it right.

As they do this, she attaches the other end of the second tube to the box connected to the terminal and chamber as well, but on a separate port.

She quickly scrawls down an order and dimensions for a iridum box to be created in the fabricator with a slot for the second pipeline, which was also mirrored on the inside to allow laser passage, giving it to one of the men to go and put in for the fabricator-master to create.

"Now we wait until that's finished."

Susan returns a few days later, noting that construction on the machines she set up was finished. Grabbing a checklist from the side of the room, she goes to double check everything.

The system above her has a large gas injection chamber which fills the entire tube network adjacent to the collision chamber next to it, sizing down all the electronics greatly and giving her more space. A selector was connected on a side which allows liquids, and gasses to fill up the tube, where it could be exposed with a high frequency laser.

The metal around it surrounding and keeping both systems in place, were applied with a layer of machines which allowed magnetic forces to be applied when needed, at settings up to very high powers. A physics playground almost.

Last but not least, there is a singular box in the center of all the things, various wires connected to the sides, a high density scanner box.

"The bill may be a bit high.. I'll slip Achillie some credits for this." Studying the machines, finding a few errors which she marks down of what is needed to be fixed.

Susan glances over a report she has received, specifying the start of work on the drug NOX, she boredom walks over to a console and tunes into the live-cam-feed of what was going on with their subject currently.

"Practical.. Straight to the point, impressive." She gets up from the computer terminal, and dissapears from the lab, making her way over to the labs storeroom. She looks through the racks, before finding what she wants. Sliding a large canister of a purple liquid off the rack, she starts hauling it back to her lab-room, sliding the canister into the side of the room, she attaches it to the system ring running around the area.

"Lets see.." Sitting back at the console, she activates the injection system, the liquid slowly is drained from the interior of the canister and into one of the sub-pipes, the system flickering to life, a small hum is heard.

"Nox loaded into a pipe with an occupying space of fifty fifty. A compression and electrification.. I wonder.."

The pipe is slowly filled with a gas, oxygen to be exact, the contents slowly being compressed. "Oxidation would alter the makeup? No.. That doesn't make sense.." The Nox swirls around, the process slowly being completed and a sample being moved into the analyzer section through a second part of the network.

Code:
> Concentration focused to area of more compression
> Content change - 2% - Effects unknown
> Systematic scan - Null
Susan sighs. "That didn't do much.. Nothing more to do other than continuing to play around I suppose"

The next day, if one were to look back into the lab, there are a large variety of canisters against the side of the wall, pipes connecting to each of them, and a specific researcher typing away by

Results flash by the screen quickly, as two of the liquids are combined in equal parts, and a small administration of hydrocarbons.

Code:
> Effects of NOX reduced, Cardamine concentration overpowers weaker drug.
> Hydrocarbons dilution.. Filter level 5%, suggest higher density material.

"Oh? Filtering it through an object will create a film.. Filter level? Filtering Nox or Cardamine.. I wonder what would come of combining the two, half an half, while having it ran through a filter first.. Agh.."

She stands up, leaving the lab after setting the system to self-clean, walking down to the pub to get something to eat.

Achille surveyed the overhead security feed with a hunger which could only be described as lustrous, the microcamera silently recording every figure, result and depiction that flittered across McCarthy's workstation like shimmers on a mirror, the camera compressing the month's interminable hours to double the speed, requiring constant, painstaking interruption as a treasured detail flashed past, nearly missed. Yet Achile wouldn't have missed this for the world.

"My dear, you are a goldmine; so much more than just another pretty face." He breathed, reddened eyes scanning madly over the screens. "Our policy of secrecy is secured, yes, but to you... well, we can render an exception." A grin flickered on his features, only to fade. It was too much effort after all, the effort to be happy or calm, the effort to do anything but succumb to the curiosity which wrapped him.

Her research on NOX, outside, external, unprompted, was especially intriguing. Perhaps if he was quick enough he could market his, her, findings before Autoine became aware of it. Would Susan know, or even care? Quite possibly not.

The temptation flickered through Achille to merely insert a simple passcode, hack her terminal, and transfer all of her personal information to his own, but resisted, just. Susan was still unfathomable to him, an alien entity, and it was quite possible that she would be one step ahead of him over any eight-arsed bungles at liberating her data. "After all, it's what I would do, if I were her. God damn that woman..."

A sudden, stabbing scald and Achille profaned, grasping at his reddened arm, the reservoir of the neighbouring coffee cup upended over the screens, capillaries bursting as his sleeve bonded to his arm.

"Sh*t, Shi*ting merde"... he gestured, struggling angrily to memorise the action which had lead to the spillage, his tired mind forcing him into oblivion, destroying the coffee which had left him chained there, pouring over Susan's bloody work. Silently, he admitted defeat, the wills of the body overpowering his mind. Cumbrously, he staggered up, and fell in the general direction of his suite.

Susan doesn't seem to be bothered by what seems to be a loud cussing noise coming from Achillies office. "That idiot.." Breathing out a sigh, she looks over the data once more. Somebody had spilled coffee all over her old equipment, the new ones are running rather differently. Thank heavens for cloud server backups.

"Cardimine needs to be in its liquid form, this gas is hard to work with.. Perhaps i'll put in an order if someone can get their hands on some" Muttering out. She gets up and sits behind the terminal, starting to rewire things.

"A higher density material which can be called a filter.. Polymer added with a coat of mercury to a sixteenth to an inch film, I the ultraviolet light when electrified may be able to harden it while keeping the flexibility." Mumbling to herself the entire time. A bad habit.

She gets up, walks outside of her room to the storerooms, grabbing a few small sheets of polymers, and a canister of Merurcury, bringing it to the utility room, latching the polymer onto a spraying rack, plugging in the toxic substance into a sprayer, and taking a step back and watching as the machine applied the coating by itself.

Grabbing some gloves, she pulls the polymer rack off and brings it back to her room carefully, cutting it into small pieces, opening the inside of the combining tube, and applying it as a filter.

Stepping back to her console, she electrifies the entire tube, and immediately the polymer starts emitting ultraviolet light, its properties starting to change slightly.

"Let that run for an hour.." Taking off her gloves, settling back in a chair and grabbing a sub to eat.

"Ah, cheri..." Achille mumbled tiredly, deftly intercepting Susan as she raised the baguette, "...Spraying mercury? Ah'm... ahem... I'm pretty sure a certain someone should be applying a full-body respirator for such an act, yes? Preferably with the attached notification of your beloved head of department, namely... namely... umm " For several seconds Achille swung like a drunkard, bumbling for his name, clutching at his arm which he'd pointed like a poker, and appeared just as hot as one.

"Minor risk of carcinogens... cancer risk... the fact you're probably brain-damaged from inhaling all those vapours, possible food contamination..." he murmured, wearily eyeing the sub, as though she might stab herself with it, or him. "It's probably just for the best if you drop that in the nearest trash receptacle, oui? Anyway, I'm off to... yes, well you can see that."

A stumble, and he nearly collapsed. Nearly. A moment's recollection brought him to his feet, clutching at his knees.

"So, Krovin, if you wouldn't mind just locking my office up, there's a good cheri... anyhow, I'm off. You stop snorting at the elements, yes?"

And with that, he loped out of view.

Out of nowhere, a totally new, and illustrious figure made it's appearance on the research decks. It was a figure which possessed absolutely no legitimate purpose of exhibiting its existence in the confines of the laboratories which sported an intricate grandeur, simulating the idea that plans and ideas of big proportions were molded here and transported from the metaphysical bonds limited only by the imagination and intellect clutched inside the heads of the scientists, to the variety of sheets, PDAs and worktables, and eventually, to reality.

This elusive shadow, a man embracing his thirties, wearing dark, black coloured, finespun clothing and an intriguing hat, was dazzling through the corridors, attempting to emulate the silence of a feline drenching its paws on the ground while stalking its prey.

He held his hands against his chest, as they were holding tight in their clutches a note, a PDA and a sharp knife.

It was obvious that this figure was Robert and he emphasized his presence only to incarnate his plot onto Achille.

Robert was heinously looking for Achille's office, only to deliver a comical punchline at his address.

With a stern determination, his legs carried him through this area, which in his mind, was erected from an entirely different world and placed carelessly inside the Freeport. He walked up and down, left and right, unavailing until he finally reached a door.

The door was locked down shut and, as his hands were occupied, Robert tried relentlessly to open the door by pitting himself against the knob, bracing it with his elbows, and attempting any other futile attempts worthy of a five year old.

As his thoughts resurfaced in his mind, Robert stopped. He peeked through every corner, hoping no one saw him performing such humiliating acts.

A mutter was heard as the items were gently placed on the ground. The door was now open.

Lifting the items back up, Robert entered the room. By the looks of it, it was actually a storage. To his disappointment, Robert left, spend a few more minutes until he found another door only to repeat the operations, only this time, there were no humiliating acts.

As he entered, it was obvious to him that it was Achille's office, or so he thought.

He approached the desk, he calmly put the PDA down, an expensive and intricate PDA with various functions and commands, and right on top of it, he gently and meticulously placed the note, a sheet of paper with ink arranged in rows of letters who would confine themselves into words and sentences while the bottom part was left empty.

Now, the knife. Robert took the knife in his both hands, lunged it upwards, and with a , for him gigantic, physical excruciation, delivered a blow, stabbing through the bottom, empty part of the note, and through the PDA, destroying it and leaving it incapable of function as well as possibly making an unappealing hole or mark in the desk. Robert always thought that the irrational waste and damage of resources gets on Achille's nerves, and occasionally, this proved right.

Delighted and overly filled with pride and satisfaction, he left the room and the items there. On the note, the following words could be read:

Quote:" Dear Achille, we hate you and we think you should die. we also hate your stupid flamboyant arrogance and there's not enough room on this sheet of paper to properly describe how much we hate you. Go die. ~Love, you know you.

Signed: Robert, Robert's nomad, Robert's leopard, Robert's python, Robert's raven, Susan, Arlston

PS: Tu es un imbecile!

The last signature, or name was obviously faked, and bolded out by the culprit of this plot to properly send a subliminal message towards its victim. It's unknown whether or not Susan's name was also faked or not.

The writing style as well as certain other elements could easily point Robert as the head of such a heinous intrigue.

The plot was done, blood was demanded, and blood was spilled, in the form of a severely destroyed PDA and a possibly damaged desk.

Susan watches Achillie leave quickly after his rambling, not bothering to respond in any form throughout the entire time. Shrugging, she glances back up at the ring with the cooking mercury, watching as the glow slowly starts to fade as it finishes the chemical changes that she was hoping to achieve.

Reaching over to the console, she fills one side of the chamber with a small amount of Nox, and applies a vacuum to the other side, pulling it through this new filter. She walks over and disconnects the second chamber, taking the vial of the special filter, swishing the liquid inside of it slightly, sighing.

She sets the system to clean itself with some water so she could use it again, storing the filtered Nox on a shelf. Sitting back, she thinks of what she remembered Robert was going to do to Achillie, smirking slightly at the thought of that. "Rather classy.. I suppose I should leave the lab before he finds it though.."

She glances up at the system, letting it run its cleaning cycles, standing up she walks over to the exit. "A sub sounds good right now.." Slowly walking out of the lab and down the path for another Sub. Too good to refuse, her favorite lunch.

Susan slowly returns a half an hour later after eating to finish up what she was doing. Walking back into her room promptly, not paying much attention to the person at the front desk, the watches as the mechanical structure has finished its cycles. Settling boredly back down at the console, she applies the next lair that she wanted, the cardimine, allowing it to be added to one chamber, pressurized, and forced through the special material filter, to come out at a little less density than before.

Reaching over, she takes the filtered Nox and plugs it into a port, combining the liquids, getting up and watching them slowly form together as the chamber once more was pressurized, forcing the two to combine. After about ten minutes, she allows the mixture, filling a vial once more with it, the gas infusing some of its properties into the Nox, bleeding out the excess gas on top, sliding the vial into a scanner, allowing it to do its work and check its properties.

Code:
Contents: 20% Cardimine, 75% NOX, 5% Unknown
Infusion Rate: Positive
Effects: Unknown - Require input

She smirks. Thats what she wanted. The unknown she would have to figure out later, some kind of bi-product. Well, that could be left to the others.

Grabbing a memory crystal, she plugs it into the computer and allows it to begin downloading the data, adding on a security wrapper when she was done. After that, she works on creating a quick program, setting it to run in the background. Taking the vial, she glances around, smiling slightly. "I'll miss this place a little.."

She promptly leaves the room and walks over to Achillies office, knocking on the door once.. twice.. and waits. "Is he in.."
