It doesn't have a storyline, like Freelancer?

It's hard.
It's awsome.
It's brilliant.

As for the jump drive. Get enough cristals (forgot their exact name, but it's something cristals) then open your map, and the jump coordinates should be set. Click them, engage jump, and woosh. Watch the awsomeness.

I'd install it again if i had the space <_< Damn you 80GB!

Very very awesome

At my last "save game" i have like 20 ships, more than 15 stations (produceing things for my other stations), a HQ-station, and a tonn of traders.

Hint: capture a few Xenon and Kha'ak ships, they are realy nice

for the jump drive it's engery cells, to start out it's best to get a trade ship and start off selling engery cells to the high tech fabs cus they are always in need. there is a hole lost of them in argon prime go to the wall for engery cells. to get the trader you can do bbs missions (station missions), or you can find a tocan huller there is one in menelaus frontier.

that's a good start it's best to trade to make money i think, though you can make some desent money with combat to.

I play this as well, using a mod on it called XTM. I have 3 M0 class ships, countless stations and about 100 ships ranging M5-M0 which has gateless jumpdrives. They can also build ships in thier hangar. As for xenon and kh'aak ships i have never really likes them much. i personally prefer the balance of the argon ships.

Also be carefull with complexes, dont put them near your HQ you lag like hell then.

You're right. Everyone that gave up at first missions is completely inpatient. You just need to figure it out. I've managed to get a lot of ships too, but... No multiplayer and I it began to be boring. It has WAY more features than Freelancer but you need to figure out how to use them. Compared to Freelancer it's 20x more complicated, but if you figure it out, it can be a very cool game.

I wrote a really funny FL story, but it disappeared when the old forum went away. So, no lulz for you today.

20x as complicated, meaning, no tutorials saying "Now if you press this button..Good boy!" No, it's "Oi, go there. How? I don't give a ****! Just get there"
20x as fun.
20x as big.
20x more to do.

FL missions are like, "Pew pew pew those BH's in grid 3B. " Over and over.
X3 ; Get this and that, bring it there n there, oh n could you do this too, and under that time limit.
