I think this has already been done. You will hardly find any npc battleships in rural areas such as Galileo, Magellan etc.

Ive sometimes encountered BS patrols in like 20Ks off the plane and 50ks out from a trade lane.

But ye, please stop them from crashing into planets...

The cap patrols are there for a reason.


The space right outside a civilian planet is SUPPOSED to be heavily defended. If you want to do your PvP without interference from them, don't do it right outside Manhattan.

Simple enough.

I believe their spawning places should just be limited to certain areas of space, if they aren't already (they aren't in Leeds, and that can get annoying), rendering other areas capital-free. Some people like farming capitals, and some people, who think they stand no chance in their current engagements, like to hug them. If you don't like being shot by an NPC cap patrol, leave them be. They feel the same about being shot by you. If they want an honorable battle, they will fight you in the no-capspawn area.

Just nerf the guns on them beyond being toys and it's fine. Yes caps are annoying and not necessary.

Edit: whatever, I was repeating it for hundred times and it's clearly waste of time. So, Savas, my honest condolence but we're not getting any changes.

inb4 people being to RP with NPCs because players are nowhere to be found.

Edit2: Baf is always against the NPC caps nerf because it's their only chance, lol.

Keep the cap spawns, but as has already been mentioned, move the majority of them to 'contested areas'.

Liberty is supposed to be at war with Rheinland right now, so there should be cap spawns for both sides in the contested areas.

This will lead to the occasional confrontation between Liberty and Rheinland 'spawn fleets' and contribute to the RP 'feel'.
