I will discuss this with the members of the Nomad faction before going ahead with this faction in any form. We will work on an agreement between each other, that way each side is happy with the results.

P.S. One way or another The Borei and Nomads will be enemies, that way when both factions are on, they battle each other, creating one hell of a show.;)

Well if you do get this together and decided to make the Borri official, I would love to help.

exactly how i want it to be muawahahahahahahaaaaa......<cough> <cough>......i'll try to bring him online more often then :D

anywho, have you considered making them a division of the phantoms? much like the different factions in the outcast. the current state of the phantoms could use some reviving. maybe this is what they need?

Nah, the Borei feast on humans. They wouldn't ally with them, they won't eat the Outcasts because of the Cardamine in their blood, makes them too toxic to eat. The Borei only attack humans because their requirement for nutrition.

However, I'm sure with some kind of Roleplay it could be done, I would rather they be by themselves, but that may not be possible...I'll consider it.

Interesting. All I have to say, Leo:DGood work, though. It'll take a lot of work, and if you get your own shipline, don't make it uber, ok?

I like the idea, but if the Borei are so advanced, and humans are no more than a limited food source, I can't see any reason for them to be venturing out of their system, other than the occasional need to capture some food, and with Falkland so close they've certainly no need to go to any other system.

They wouldn't run across the Nomads in the Taus, and since humans don't know them by the name Kyoko'vash, I can't see how the Borei would be aware of their presence.

If humans were to be seen as more of a threat then I can see more reason for interaction, otherwise it feels like they would just ignore the human populace.

I've thought about this from time to time as well. How we mainly did it on Evolved was we kept to the Ceti systems and put a very handy shortcut through those systems (sort of like how Alaska is a shortcut in a way up to Alpha, and the Nomads can kill through there). When people journeyed through those systems, we would strike and destroy their ship.

However, because the Ceti systems are not in Discovery, I'm planning on adding another part to the RP that says when the IMG closed off the Ceti systems, several of the Borei were trapped on the Sirius side while exploring, and their Hive leader was with them. So, the Borei in the Ceti systems cloned a new Elder (read the story in the first post to understand) and continued on with thier lives, however the Elder on the side of Sirius was trapped, and needed nutrition, so they setup a new base somewhere in Sirius and began making Sirius yet another "colony."

Yeah, I just came up with that off the top of my head.:P

~Leo

P.S. The only way I can see them making mankind a "threat" is when they came into Ceti and causing damage to their system's with the exhaust from the ships, so they're killing off mankind to stop polluting this part of the galaxy, but that's unlikely with the normal behavioral patterns of the Borei.

Here's a point. For ultimate bad guys, we have the Nomads, the C'Tan and their Phantom slaves, Mon'Star, the Harvesters, the Liberty Navy (couldn't help myself) yada yada yada etc. Do we need an entirely new ultimate bad guy? There's so much unused potential in what we already have that its already disorienting in its amount. This, while being a gold mine, is another gold mine. Remember what happened when Mansa Musa went on his pilgrimage and gave gold to everyone? The value dropped to almost nothing. While its a neat idea and you've done a great job with it, its a bit over the top. If there are all these bad guys, how the hell is humanity still alive? I can't imagine that humanity can take a population blow like Mon'Star's plague every few years, much less two alien invasions, (NPC) factionized infighting, homicidal machines, two major wars that are soon to be three. Adding another, yet more powerful and evil alien invasion on top of that isn't icing on the cake anymore, its making the icing three feet thick.

If we only had the Nomads as ultimate bad guys, it could work. But we have far more than that, and while its easy to say "what's one more humongous threat to humanity" it isn't the best idea. Sorry, but I don't think its a good idea even though its a great story.

Well, then maybe the Phantom's, C'tan, Nomads(Keepers), Liberty Navy (Couldn't help myself either, you're right though XD), MonStar and his Plauge (hehe) yada yada yada should get on more often and cause pure terror on the server instead of being either never on or non-existant to begin with. Maybe THEN I wouldn't be coming up with this proposal.

As I said before, this isn't a faction request yet, it's for 4.86, and I havn't even ASKED the admins to give it any thought yet. It's just thrown up here to see what the community thinks, and so far the majority have either supported it, or said it was a good story but said it wouldn't get good to be added to the server as you said.
