hence he gained rep with both, corsairs and BHG. - now, cause the BHG starts of better, it was the tag he got first - but his rep with the corsairs might have been just as good - he might have never fired on a corsair - and all his life dedicated to killing hessians and outcasts.
now, tell me again how a BHG tagged vessel can by no means be friendly with the corsairs when he has a merc ID. - its one of the cases where a chat with the culprit clears things up the best - and i HOPE that the one that reported this talked to the person before he wrote the report, cause if not - its hurting more than it helps.
naturally, a BHG tagged ship should not enter gamma. - mind, what if he had been corsair tagged, merc IDed - not everyone knows the mechanics of switching tags easily.
its so easy to always think of the persons worst - and easy to forget about that a person might be innocent or has his reasons. - btw. i think unjust reports should be sanctioned as well to prevent report happy players that think that reporting someone is as satisfying as a frag.

Then use a civilian ship + civilian guns and best NO tag.
This should seal the deal, but BHG tagged + shipped and docking on Crete is way OoRP.
Well, it's true that some players don't know the tag and those situations it's recommended to tell these players.

jinx basically what you are saying is, that when i on my corsair kill 5000 bounty hunters, (and i think i killed them) then my rep is friendly with all unlawfulls, so i can roleplay that i am friendly with them? i can take my dread and fly to outcast, mollies, xenos, lane hackers and others, with words,that i am friendly because i killed thousands of your enemies? or i can kill thousands of nomads, enemies of all humans and roleplay someone friendly to all ?
and i tell you how can not be friendly. in game, where you follow roleplay, when you have bounty hunter tag nad you are flying in bounty hunter ship, you are enemy of unlawfulls because for all others you are someone who is biggest fan of bounty hunters ( tag) what is not clean on this ?
no need to argue about it, global - really. its been settled - people are simply expressing their feelings about it. - you can have it your way, i have it mine. nither of them are better or worse. - besides, we re both no admins, so what gives.... .
sure i have a BHG ship but thats because if fills the need i have for my work as a merc. its a freaking bomber and i bought it because of some advise i got from other players
so thats why i have BHG ship and sure i have the BHG tag it was easy money at the beginning but i was saving money for another bomber ship i had cargo for about a half a mill when i entered the corsair system witch i lost because someone killed me before i could sell it at the base
and then i lost alot of money for stuff that i need to survive in the edge witch mean i lost about 2 mill after i entered one system to fix my rep
how hard would it be to have the ID you equip automatically alter your rep?
Like, if I equip a hogosha ID, the game automatically makes me nuetral to non-kusari corporations, friendly to kusari corporations and AFA, nuetral to kusari, rheinland, and liberty militaries and police, and hostile to bretonian factions. Also would end up being hostile to GMG, GC, and dragons, but allied with order and corsairs.
It's probably too much work or impossible with the game engine, but it's a thought...
It would be nice if you chose your rep at the start, like some other mod allowed, especially with the sanction happy mods this server has.
You could choose your rep and it could be locked, buy your ID (although you wouldn't need an ID at that point), and the admins would have one less excuse to sanction people.
